Hey guys, is this still the case? Is there an at table swipe for the .40c/an hour?
Is the at table food menu jacked up as well?
Also how is the rake, searched thread didn't see info on that.

Close by chick filet though if I remember correctly....

How much does is cost to re-felt a table? I don't think I've ever seen tables as disgusting as the tables I saw there last week

I'd rather give a bum $5/hand and play on his over over over coat at the bottom of a dumpster

Unfortunately they still charge for drinks. Yes the table menu price wise is lil above average with average to ok fare serve.

The rake is 10% up to $5 with a $1 promotion drop. The promo drop goes to $2 on Saturdays when they have a $1000 high hand every hour or half hour. Generally I dont pay that much attention to high hands so not completely sure if half or hourly.

Yup Chick-filet and a lot other restaurants within a 3-5 min drive from the room. I like 5 guys or Chipotle myself.

While the tables arent great, I don't think they are that bad. Yes though a re-felting job is kinda of needed.

I forgot too. There is a table swipe, but you get 60 pts hr. It equates to like 50c maybe though I haven't check that in a while too. I will ask today. The cool thing about their card though is that points can be redeemed for cash value, tourney tickets, etc. It takes a hella long time to get anything meaningful but a lil rakeback is better than nothing.

At my local B&M, I have never paid for a meal when I decide to eat. Accumulating points just for that reason to me is huge. I am going to grind regardless. They just cut a perk where I used to receive a $50 gas card or 1 night stay in the hotel every quarter. It was based on my VIP status level. So are discounts on said food/drinks. I get a chicken salad which is ~ $6 for under $3 after paying directly off the card and the 20% discount for silver status.

The table swipe is .20c/hour its ridic. bad. For limit games it is .10c/hour. The food menu is a little jacked, looking at around $7-10 for a sandwich/chips or a personal pizza. The food is not bad but a little overcharged. The rake is standard 10% up to 5 dollars and 1 dollar for jackpot as long as there is $10 in the pot. On sat. they have $500 hi-hand promos every half hour. Some Sat. they have 1000 1/2 hour high hands ($2 is raked for jackpot on these days.) They have hi-hands every hour throughout the week at diff payouts. BBJ is capped at 25k with qualifiers going down every week after it is capped. Yes, kinda by chick-fil-a. There are a ton of food places nearby panera/chipolte/subway/bk. that most people who play alot go to for lunch/dinner.

Any day is a good day to go. Social Security checks bleed at the tables. The old people hate losing them hard earned pensions to punk kids and will keep re-loading untill they cooler you for their last 40 BB. They get this big smile on their face and say I finally got the young whipper snapper to any aging diabetes ridden person in their presence. Its the funniest and most tilting thing to happen but you get used to it. Rinse repeat.

Awesome. I have to come there the weekend prior and my aunt lives only a couple miles from the Kennel Club. Seems like I need to turn my weekend into 10 days.

A quick trip report for the DBKC

I just spent a few days in the Port Orange/DB area for a family visit and had the chance to play the DBKC a few times and came away with a very positive opinion of the play, management and tournaments!

My regular room is Foxwoods, have played in many a room across the US as I travel for work, and found the room to be friendly, dealers skilled and play adequate. (FYI - I won the draw into the $250 Saturday tourney, sold it for $200 - so my free rolling may have shaded my opinion a bit - especially since I ended up chopping the Friday Night Lights tourney as well)

I played the Thursday Player Appreciation Tourney (great buffet), lasted to the bubble and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Other 2+2ers have posted about retirees and low skill play - I don't agree. The players at my tables were skilled and under control for the most part.

Played the next night during the Friday night lights tourney was also of a high level and I ended up in a 6 way chop (Nick, who appears to be a room regular, chopped both nights for the win).

I would highly recommend this room to anyone in the eatern florida area - and I would say it rivals Tampa's best rooms (although not quite as busy as Tampa Hard Rock on a Friday night)

Glad you enjoyed yourself. Did you play any cash or just tourneys?

Played cash while waiting for the tourneys -1/2 NL. Play was pretty straight forward, 1 or 2 players that seemed like the internet players playing live (you know hyper aggressive in all spots, up/down stacks) who got caught playing the older tight players, and not realizing they had the nuts.

Made a few bucks (+$50 1st session, +$25 second session) and play was pleasant enough (although I folded pocket 2's to a $15 pre-flop raise and would have had quads - I know, pretty nitty).

The only limit games are 1/2 or 2/4. $1 and $2 chips....first buy in is always at the cage, can rebuy at the table.

I guess they have a new rule for reducing rake when short handed.

We were 5 handed and a couple of players asked for reduced rake. The floor asked how many stacks were at the table - dealer told him 6 but only 5 players. Floor said no reduced rake b/c they base it on the number of stacks at the table. One guy got up after that and left his stack. Asked floor again if they could reduce rake since we were playing 4 handed - same answer no b/c there are 6 stacks at the table.

Seems like the bad PR is going to cost them more than they will make by not reducing the rake in the long run. There are a lot of players that live between poker room areas and little decisions like this will cause players to go to other rooms (Tampa/Jax depending on were you live).

I have to say that Best Bet Jax handles this fairly well. They don't have a specific rule; the floor just walks over, takes a look, and 8 out of 10 times reduces the rake. I've seen this at least a dozen times in only 4 visits to the place. Can't speak on Tampa; haven't played there.
