No doubt. As long as you give me a walk in the BB on occasion.

Hey All,

I love this room. I have been coming here for years and finally jumped on this site so meet some other people. Lately been playing more 2/5.. can't seem to find a day when a 5/10 is running sadly. Used to live out by Kissimmee so I would go to Tampa HR more often, but now living in Oviedo I head out to Daytona. I'm usually dressed in UCF gear.. was there this past Sunday for about 8 hours or so. Look forward to meeting more people out there. Anybody doing the Greg Raymer tourneys next month? What's the usual payouts for the $225.00 (I think that's it.) Also, rebuys? Thanks!

Yes, a lot of fish. You'll find a lot of players wanting to see cheap multi-way flops on the $1/2NL tables, and some get quite frustrated when you keep raising them pre-flop off their suited connectors or low pocket pairs. Quite a bit of limping with premium pocket pairs, generally from the older regs. If you really want to die a slow, painful death, sit at the $2/2 limit tables and see 7-8 to the flop every hand in the hopes of hitting the high hand.

Yah, the only issue, like the OP said, is that you get some more mature regs limping in with gold, and it's hard to know where they're at. I'm sure it's still beatable, but it's not like "I raise, now give me your chips".

When I was at DBKC last week, the dealers were talking about a bunch of new rule changes that were taking effect Monday. IIRC, it was stuff like: verbal out of turn action is now binding, no more short buys, and a couple other things.

Anybody have specifics on these changes yet?

I just left there, and didn't know to ask about new rules, but I did discover one: no use of electronic devices while in the hand, including cash games.

Verbal action out of turn is not binding.

Basically, the 'new' rule states that any chips put In the pot in turn will stay on the pot. Basically under calling will lock up your bet.

Essentially, this room had some very lax rules to be non confrontational for a while, but it they're finally making better strides to have stricter rules and enforce them.

Other changes include forward motion on mucking hands making them dead(so long as it wasn't dead and retrievable, they'd allow players to recall hands), short buys are gone and a few others. Their night manager Bobby gave me a pamphlet, seemed like pretty standard stuff.

I believe its technically 300-1k OR the biggest stack at the table. But I'm pretty sure people just put on whatever they want, some stacks get very deep.

I could be wrong...those are the buyins for the 5-5 holdem game. Probably same tho.

I like the 45 minute absent rule and dealers clock you out the instant you leave your seat.

The beauty of the Bravo system. Also there's a good app for lots of rooms.

I live in melbourne and drive a car that get's like 14 mpg I so wish I could go to daytona more, but knowing if I have a winning session, that the first 2-4 hours are just for the gas makes it hard to get the motivation to go to what is probably one of the best poker rooms in north florida..

I'm so getting a Prius for my next car

Yah, for sure. I'm on the verge of buying a prius just so I can travel to various poker rooms in FL and not kill my bottom line.
