I've been keeping an eye on them on Poker Atlas. They seem to be drawing decent crowds.

Looks like Westlake is split and part Denton part Tarrant county. I assume the poker room is in the Denton part, lol. I wonder how Denton Co. feels about the legality of this place. Are there any other legal rooms in Denton Co? I don't know of any.

I just realized the one that rebranded as Poker House Dallas, I forget what it originally was, is gone from Poker Atlas. I never went, but I always intended to go get in some ping pong action, damn it.

Yeah, Peaks - as a table tennis/poker fan, I was of the same mind. Went to visit a buddy late November in Dallas and was sad to discover it was closed.

Any idea what happened to them? It was Peaks, then Poker House at Peaks, then Peaks again, then closed

Investors pulled funding so closed abruptly. Some people had bought a lot of time on deals and were pissed. People that ran it moved quickly to Austin. Hayden Fortini now works at the Lodge so you can ask him. I’m assuming his wife Kim Stone is now playing there as well.

So were members reimbursed or the people running it fled to Austin with the loot

Members were not reimbursed. Place closed abruptly. Hayden and Kim didn’t steal anything though. Whatever money came in was lost as the place was losing money. Investors all of the sudden said they weren’t going to fund it anymore and it closed suddenly. Two of the main investors are a husband and wife team that play tourneys all over the DFW area(Jim and Dori). They probably had unrealistic expectations based on Hayden/Kims salesmanship in getting them involved and quickly started losing their investment and pulled the plug on funding the place. Hayden and Kim have no $ so had no way to keep it open.

Gotcha, ty for the info. Yeah, it was a pretty nice room from my recollection, and I've only heard positive things said about Hayden/Kim

Zero tables running at Las Colinas today, at least according to poker atlas. Hope it's something minor like a computer issue.

I wonder if it's due to the impending storm?

I don't think so, that's not supposed to get bad until tomorrow afternoon, I think. And looking at the temp predictions it's probably going to be a whole lot of ado over nothing.

There's nothing of note on either their website or when searching news links for TCH Las Colinas.

I'm also pretty sure if there was a raid or even a shutdown it would have already been on Reddit.

Their facebook page says they were going to open at noon. No clue why. They're up now, but only 4 tables running. Pretty strange.
