In the meantime TCH has opened a new branch in Las Colinas. I haven't been to either location since they split, but looks like LC is higher stakes games and Dallas is lower stakes per Poker Atlas. Less tables at each, but the long lists are maybe gone.
The “plan” was to keep the bigger games at the original TCH. Hence no streaming table or high limit section.

Not sure wtf they were thinking. TCH social is a flagship type room with full bar and restaurant. So naturally all the games migrated.

The 2/5 at TCH Social is capped at $1500. That seems to be attracting more people/tables. The original Dallas location is 2k and march stack. So basically uncapped and played pretty big the last time I rolled through and played.

The 5/10 at Social is uncapped and is basically and auto 5/10/25 straddle game. Played a few weeks ago and it played semi large for a no cap. Average stack was $5k or so. Action was good and wasn’t incredibly stacked lineup (compared to 2/5 games and such. Obviously the quality of play is better at an uncapped 5/10/25).

The 2/5 game at original should still be playing bigger than 2/5 at social…..

But my experience is the social 2/5 is close to a 5/10 $1500 max game like bellagio.

It's not Dallas, but the new location for Poker House is going to be in Burleson, just south of Fort Worth, according to a friend who applied for a floor position.

Seems like a really crappy location to move to. Burleson already had a room and I never once saw more than one table running at a time on Poker Atlas. It's the closest location to me yet I never went there.

The Burleson location is the same brand, but it's not a replacement for the Dallas location. The Dallas location posted that they are not affiliated with it and are looking to open another location in DFW.

Poker Atlas is now showing 2 “Coming Soon” rooms in Burleson, Poker House and TX Double Deuce. So weird. There’s already one room there that struggles to even get 1 table going, so let’s open up 2 more rooms!

This simply isn't true.

I checked at 145 am about an hour ago and there were 2 $1/3 games running.

The room consistently has games when it is open.

It doesn't get busy until 730 pm. Tournaments start slow at 7 and then pick up between 7 and 8. When the tournament breaks players open cash games.

Get 1 game every night. Often 2 and have had nights with 3 in the two months I have been here.

Games usually die between 2-4 am. Once in a while it goes later.

I do agree that three rooms will be one too many.

But let's see those two rooms open before we get too concerned. Poker House was supposed to open in June. It's now September. No opening date is set.

Double Deuce was slated to open this week according to it's owner who plays at 5220 every single night. He hasn't updated in two weeks and Poker Atlas gives you no info.

It's gonna be an interesting situation when three rooms open. I think one can grab a majority of the business if it is open 24/7.

Pushed back till the end of October. Not sure about Poker House Fort Worth. Maybe by the end of the month as well.

Not sure why it is so difficult to open a business. And why construction delays are so prevalent in these rooms.

Doubtful anyone's going to go to Burleson to play anyway. I've been watching 5220 on Poker Atlas since your claims of how busy it is, I don't think I've seen a table running once. Maybe they don't keep Poker Atlas updated or something.

You must be checking at the wrong times. Like I said cash runs after a tournament breaks. We had 2 cash games Sat from 9ish until 1;30 then 1 until 3.

Good thing they're going to have 3 rooms there soon so someone can take in all that overflow!

Played in Las Colinas back in August, very good 2/5. Made a video about that for my vlog.

Not only is the room much nicer, but the area is way less sketchy. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking any meaningful amount of cash in and out of the original TCH location.

If anyone is hiring, it’s likely them.
But are they actively hiring as opposed to just regular hiring?

Anyone have some details on the PLO games at TCH Las Colinas? Do games typically play with a straddle or no? 2/5 is $2k cap and 5/10 is $1k min so I'm sorta assuming the games often are straddled and maybe mandatory depending on the lineup

Bummer that no one responded to the above because I came to ask about PLO at Peaks Dallas. Does PLO ever run at Peaks? Don't see a table on Atlas tonight. I called and the front desk was unsure.

Between Christmas and New Years I wanted to play PLO at TCH Las Colinas, but I never ended up doing it. I watched the games on Poker Atlas, and it was usually 2 tables of 2/2 and 1 or 2 tables of 2/5, but always with a long waiting list (12 to 15 names).

One day I put myself on both lists and showed up about 45 minutes later. There is not a big sign; it looks like they are trying to keep a low profile. I ask the brush and she confirms that I am still about 10th on both lists, and that the people on the lists are mostly real people who will probably take seats, not just people who reserved seats on Poker Atlas and are not actually there.

I was thinking about milling around and watching the games for an hour on the off chance that I did get a seat, but the brush told me I had to buy a membership or leave. I didn't feel like paying for a membership since I probably would not actually get to play, so I left.

You can tell who's on the poker atlas app with the chip logo, I really doubt you would of had to wait long if you signed in 45 minutes before.

The Fort had a 20/40 LHE w/half kill today. They’re expecting it to run every Tuesday. Am I the only one who misses LHE?

I was primarily a Limit O8 player back in the day, but always found 2-card poker kinda boring.

i know this is a long shot, but......

i'm looking for 1 or more players who may be driving to/from WSOP 2024 from texas and wanting to stay around 2 weeks or so. i am driving out there due to fear of flying & medical issues, and need another person(s) to drive with. i (42m) will be staying with a buddy of mine (25m), at horseshoe. we are chill, no partying on the strip, no slots/pits, just focus on poker during trip like real poker junkies. we have gone for a few years now and really enjoy the series, look forward to it every year. we are mostly cash players, with some tournaments mixed in. my friend is flying in. if you want to room with us, that would make it cheaper for everyone (if not, that's cool).

i have made the drive for many years now. it is a 2-day drive, solo, ~10 hours per day. but maybe can make it a super long 1-day drive with myself and one or two more people to split driving. obviously we would need to meet as a group beforehand, make sure we get along, can stand each other for long drive. also, will be using my vehicle (roomy, nice 4-door truck). i will eat most gas expenses, since this would primarily be accommodating me.

right now, looking at May 29-June 12 timeframe. but i can be flexible to adjust to everyone's schedule.

PM me if interested. looking to get booked soon.

Can anyone drop me some information about TCH Dallas v. TCH Las Colonias? General word I'm hearing is Colonias is in a much nicer neighborhood, but stacks play smaller. I've never been to Texas but we will be there for about 4 days and don't have plans (until I go broke) to do much else.

I'll be in Fort Worth in October. Where should I go to player poker? Driving up to 45 minutes from the convention center is fine.

I typically play $2/$5 or $5/$10. There's no faq in the main post and there's tons of options on Poker Atlas. Any opinions / info would be welcome! Thanks!
