Looks like the buy-in changes apply for the whole week, so you can buy-in with 300 on weekday as well.
The new-rake and 8 handed changes only apply from Friday noon to Monday morning.
Could easily be that 2-3 gets tougher through those rake changes because 2/5 regs could move down there on the weekends. Because 12$ cap and no time charge at a 300$ buy-in game looks way better than 10$ time charge plus 10$ cap at 500$ buy-in game.
There must be a reason why those rake changes are only used for weekends...either they are testing the water and try to compare where they can make even more rake.
Or (and I think thats more likely), they use the "12$ cap and no time charge" rake rip-off version, because pots get bigger on weekends as there is generally more action (more drunk people, less regs per table and so on)
Melbourne and Victoria needs sooooo badly competition in that industry, a few smaller cardcasinos with lower rake would force Crown to charge normal rake as well
Cant understand why the Victorian government allows to put freaking Pokkie machines to EVERWHERE but dont allow cardcasinos or any other legal places where real cash game can be played
