Is there more value at 5/10 or 2/5 at Crown? Last time I played 5/10 I had trouble seeing a flop with all the raising and re-raising preflop.
Raising and re-raising preflop doesn't mean a game has any less value. There is an argument you should have no hands in your pre-flop open limp range anyway.
When it gets up, the 5/10/20 (it basically always plays with a $20 straddle) at Crown is usually a great game
for that level of stakes. It's definitely a big step-up from the level of play at 2/5, and a significant step up in the size of the game, but - there is definitely money to be made.
If your roll is big enough and you are good enough you would always play the 5/10/20 over the 2/5 at Crown.
That might sound obvious - but this is unlike say Vegas where the 2/5 games are much bigger than Melb, and the 10/20 games are so much harder, where you could have the bankroll and skill to play 10/20 but you would choose to play 2/5 or 5/10 99% of the time because there is more money to be made.
