anyone have any info on what types of games are running on a regular basis here? anything more than 1/2NL?

2/5NL+, PLO, Big O?

Rarely if ever a game larger than 1/2. Normally only on a 10k guarenteed NLH tourny Saturday.
PLO 1/2/5 or 5/5 runs nearly nightly with often 2 tables on the weekends

Gretna is a hour closer to me than Jacksonville and I'm thinking about trying out Creek Entertainment this weekend. Anyone know about how many NLHE tables are running on a Saturday and at what times? I'd hate to show up for an afternoon game and find 1 table with 4 players. I would think that the evenings are busy, just don't want to get there early for no reason. I read that this place is a lot better than the old JCKC, I hope that's right. Thanks in advance for your replies.

It's a lot lot better than jckc was. Typically on a Saturday if I get there around 2 it seems like there are 2-3 NLH tables going. If you go on a Saturday when they run a 10K guarenteed tourny starting at 1 you will see the cash tables pop up as players bust out. Go on their website to check the calendar for those dates

Thanks for the info. Only a satellite running this Saturday. 2-3 tables sounds like a bunch of regs trying to beat the rake until the recs start showing up. Do they get a full room going after 7:00 or so?

Usually satalite weekend there's 2-4 tables of NLH 1/2. I've seen some decent stacks sitting on them. All the splashy/gambly players have converted to PLO, so most of the good regs have as well. Willing to bet most NL players there now are recreational

Went down yesterday and played from 4:00 til 10:00. 3 NLHE 1/2 tables with no waiting until around 8:00. 2 tables after that with a couple of reduced rake periods, mostly with 6-7 players. Dealers were calling about 85% of the players by name.

Table was very loose. No respect for 10BB PF bets or C-bets. Saw decent pots won on the river with pure junk. A majority of hands went to the river. Saw one good player bet his AKs strong PF, flop a K and got his opponent AI by the turn. Opponent rivered a 4 to make his K4o a winner.

I was up and down. Card dead (or should I say flop dead) the last two hours. Made a whole $3.00. Whoo Hoo. Enjoyed it though. You can pick any card room apart but I thought staff did a pretty good job. Saw a burn and turn on the flop with one player yet to act PF (cards covered with hands). Dealer got tore up about it to the point his hands were shaking like crazy. He wasn't a new dealer. Only floor call at my table.

Since Flopdanuts mentioned PLO, I was paying attention to those games as much as I could. Saw 3 tables early on. Was told at least one was a must move. Heard a dealer say $30K on the table was not unusual. Watched the big PLO game, from a distance, while I ate. Saw a couple of huge stacks with lots of green chips. Lots of action to go with those chips. Might have to brush up on PLO and go down there again.

Anyone been here since 2016? Will be in Tally for the FSU vs UF game and thinking about making the ~30minute drive.

Here now.. one 1/2 nl going and I'm currently 2nd on list. Poor lighting and 1000% nothing more than a local watering hole. I'll report how the night plays out. Over under 3 full tables going? Thinking the under might come thru

So overall I must say that this room is so soft it's crazy. They had one typical Asian that fit the profile to a T.. super aggressive, barreling every chance he got and really drove the action for about 2 hrs before he flamed out. He actually caused me to play pocket kings extremely bad. He was opening every chance he got, I was UTG and limped thinking 1000% he was going to raise from the cutoff.. turned out he did not and I lost a pretty big pot when he got a boat with 9/3.. that's on me, but still stinks that he didn't do what I thought he was going to do preflop.

Other characters included 6 other regs that were rednecks from redneck land doing what rednecks do.. complete home game vibe for sure. then 2 other players, kind of young.. one guy had no clue what to do and a couple of times when the action was on him he would say "fold" and stare at the dealer, to which the dealer eventually said "well I need your cards then". His buddy 'knew what he was doing', but still sucked.

lighting was horrible
The check-in desk also was where you would buy/cash out chips.

Overall had a decent session outside of that badly played pocket kings hand and I would have stayed longer if there was someone putting action in the game but it kind of died down and everyone that would sit down seemed to be pretty mellow in terms of action. A couple of 'younger' guys game through during my session but they were not nearly as good as they perceived themselves to be. Maybe they were in comparison to the average player there, but outside of their peers/room they're below average for sure.

Definitely not worth a 3 hour drive. Where you located. Are closer to ebro. $1/$2 is the best I have ever played.

Weekday suck. First game does not go till 3-4. $1/$3 will go most Friday and Saturday. This is an uncapped game

Middle Georgia. Google maps says 3 hr 13 min to Gretna and 4 hr 20 min to Ebro.

Just noticed that BestBet (4 hr 9 min) is 11 minutes closer than Ebro so I would probably go there if I didn't go to Gretna.
