I really like the chips that the Commerce Casino uses. I want to get some for my home game. Can anyone tell me how to get chips that are at least similar to theirs?

If you want chips exactly like theirs, make sure you get the ones coated with hepatitis C.

Really? They're pretty hard to cut. When you're trying to make a bet they stick together

Commerce chips are absolute *****. The NextGen chips on 5stardeal.com are the best bang for your buck. Paulson chips are the top of the line, but much more expensive.

Hello.

I'm planning to visit Commerce casino for the first time. I usually play in online. If anyone has ever played or seen high NLHM tables like 20/40 or 50/100 blinds, could you tell me how much the average stack is? How much chips does chipleader have? How aggressive are those high tables? Are those tables available everyday?

Thank you.

10/20 runs non-stop 24 hours 7 days, some deepstacks some short. 20/40 runs fairly often too

what PLO games does commerce spread? I see 1000-0 PLO and 2000-0 PLO on bravo but i have no idea what the blinds for those would be (i guess 5-10 10-25??? if those are the min buyins ). Someone said 50-100 for one of them but not sure if thats accurate.

I'm headed to commerce this week.
Someone said they give free food to the $5/10 players.
True?

Not true. If you are playing 5/10 you have to use your comps for meals. 10/20 players (and all games on the hotel side) get free food.

Is Commerce worth checking out for 1-2 NLHE or should I take my business elsewhere?

$1/$2-$1/$3 isn't worth checking out in LA at all. Unless you like paying them ~1/3-1/6th of your BI. Better off in Vegas or the east coast or somewhere else I don't know about. Better rake/BI structures.

^Head to the Bike for best structures at 2/3, 3/5, & 5/5.

(plus free food at those levels)

Coming to the area for business. Looking forward to playing Commerce on Wednesday night.

What is the 10/20NL game listed as in Bravo, and how do I interpret the funky nomenclature like "5000-0 NL?"

EDIT: Just saw that 600-0 NL is 10/20NL. Completely unintuitive, to say the least.

Mods, can we please get an FAQ on Commerce that explains all the weird limits and Commerce-specific knowledge?

All of that stuff is in this thread, often far more than once.

And it's 600NL because the min buyin is $600. LA games (not just Commerce) are typically referred to this way.

Yeah, I did find it after digging. Just seems like Parx and Borgata have great FAQ thread starters on all kinds of stuff like this. Eliminates the need to dig.

As you already know, as soon as you write it up and send it to me, I'll post it.

If ppl want to put together an FAQ list, I would be willing to answer them (and find out answers to the ones I don't know. 2000nl would be 20/40 nl. Same goes for plo. 5000nl would probably be 50/100, but that wouldn't always be true- it's a non standard game so the ppl starting it decide stakes and min buy. But in LA most games will be referred to in relation to their min buy.

If you want a quick template, check out the Parx and Borgata threads.

The first post has an FAQ with a ton of information about games, stakes, local rules, etc. It also has stuff like directions, hotel info, food, etc etc etc

I believe that for Parx, it really has helped grow it into one of the better rooms in the country.

You should be able to just cut-and-paste theirs as a template and change the details to fit Commerce specifically.

I would do it, but I'm obviously not a local, and this is best done by one of you guys.

Yes I will offer up my services to do an FAQ for the Commerce and Bicycle Casino threads. Bike because I love the casino and wish they would get more traffic and bigger games. Commerce because I feel I do owe these forums something and after checking out the Parx and Borgata threads it would be something I would find very helpful when taking a trip to one of those places.

I'll get started this weekend at some point.

Thanks in advance!

Rapini is the man on this. PM your FAQ to him, and he generally gets it posted pretty quickly.
