When you get closer to that let me know and I will be there, until then count me out.
My thoughts exactly.

Again this is a huge first step imo that we have one mtt director on 2+2 ..
I thought someone wrote that the Isle wasn't going to be a tournament room in another thread.

If you've got three, there should be enough others to have the game.

John, if you're referring to me, I said that we weren't going to be a "tournament house" which was to put to rest many rumors started by others here that we were going to run a ton of tournaments and that was going to be the strategy of our new room. I never said that we wouldn't offer any tournaments. I did say that we wouldn't be offering them right away, which has been the case.

Starting in June we'll do two a week on Fridays and Saturdays. I will submit changes to gaming today and we'll run those with 30 minute limits, the 1500/3000 limit added, and more chips (I'm not sure how many...let me do the math first. 40K in chips with 80 players means 3.2M in play. We'd need to get to 25k/50k blinds to touch that and that's level 24 in my structure, so almost 13 hours with the breaks included, making this last between 13 and 15 hours. Maybe a few less chips than 40K). I don't have time with gaming to change the structure on the May 21st event which is $10K guaranteed and will start with at least 8 players (which is the bottom of our submitted payout structure). However, I do have time to change the other one. I'll let you all know as soon as it's submitted. Those Saturday Noon $10K tournaments that start in June will be $480 buyin with only $10 entry fee and optional $10 Dealer Special add-on.

Best,
Matt

They had aces cracked and splash pot yesterday at isle but only 2 tables running. I prefer Omaha and Golden Gates had 3 tables of it running

40k in chips is way too much. I think any more than 10-20k is too much with blinds starting that low.

I personally don't want it to be more than ~8 hours. For one it's going to be more appealing to casual players, and for 2 it's on Saturdays and there is 30/60 LHE game calling my name.

Just as a quick note...

We've changed the minimum buy-in for 2-100 from $100 to $60 at the Isle and also, players may add-on to their stack at any time as long as they have chips in front of them.

Best,
Matt

Looks like a great structure Matt ColoAce.

Hoping the WPT comes together and I can finally meet you Mr. Savage.

Ok thanks. Make sure you constantly keep us updated on every little minor thing your room does. What did you have for lunch?

Yesterday 3rd BBJ hit at Isle 10000. Two tables running with all kind off promotions. I hit Aces cracked...
Golden Gates had nice 5-100 Omaha hi/lo running

WTF is this?

Seriously, the guy is busting his butt trying to get his room off the ground and is, far and away, the most active room manager I've seen on 2+2. **** like this isn't going to encourage him to keep listening to us here and being active on the forums. Go away, troll.

+1 I wish more poker room managers like Matt took time to post here, he's very welcome.

Matt,
That wasn't meant to be a slam on you - it was directed at all of the tournament questions for a mainly cash game poker room manager. My sarcasm was lost in translation I guess.

Cheers,
JP

No worries...but I have equal love for cash games and tournaments, personally. We just wanted to start out without the tournaments so that we could make sure everything in the room was functioning well before adding in tournaments.

Matt

Thanks,
I'll be playing in Event #2 Day1C tonight at 7pm. I'll do what I can to answer:

1. Sorry, no idea

2. According to the graveyard manager (he self admittedly could be wrong) but he thought ~60 runners for Day 1A. I assume more on the weekends.

3. The SNG satellites for the Main Event pay cash. 10 handed, $60 BI. 1st and 2nd get $230, 3rd gets $60. There'll be a lot of chopping

4. I'm not 100% but I think it's the same

5. Sorry, not sure. But if it's like when the Heartland is here, the T$ aren't transferable

Anyways, good luck if you play in it. If you see me, feel free to say "hi". It's nice to meet fellow 2p2ers. I'm not hard to spot, I have dark hair/beard with white streaks (natural, not dyed). My name's Braden

Just over 100 for event 1, 63 for heat 1 of event 2, 43 for heat 2, not sure about heat 3. The collusion/soft play between regs and the general incompetence down here kinda sucks tho.

I really liked the isle room, but there were def issues with the latter points there too, get your dealers to speak up about the rules and enforce them Matt, especially once you are running tourneys.

Has there been any LHE going at the Isle yet on Saturdays? Anyone planning on playing today? I'll go to the Isle if there's a legit $8/16 or $10/20 LHE going, but I'll probably be at Ameristar otherwise.
