Don't think they even run any of their posted tournaments anymore.

Pretty sure the O8 runs in the morning. Don't think any of their evening tourneys run.

I'm heading to the denver area for the next week, I'm looking for any information on where the decent lhe (10-20 to 40-80) games are and hopefully with table selection and games that wont break after an hour.
Any info will help, thanks.

There are two FL games that run regularly in BH.

4/8 w/ half kill
30/60 w/ 2/3 kill (50/100)

Yep. That's all. I honestly don't get why something in the middle like 10/20 won't run.

Both games are found almost exclusively at the Ameristar. 4/8 is usually a weekend game with one or two going. 30/60 runs around the clock almost. On weekday nights they usually get 2 or 3 games. Weekends probably 4 or 5. There are always main game/must move games for the 30/60.

Players and managers have put in some effort trying to get that damn game (10/20) running and it just doesn't. Probably never will either at this point.

Ive seen poker room managers do the opposite of this at ameristar. 10/20 interest lists repeatedly gets deleted with 5+ people on it

They probably gave up. I know a few years ago they were willing to get it going but it was never consistent enough. Then The Lodge tried and offered stupid comps for it, and failed. Then Isle tried and failed.

Bravo currently showing a 50/100 interest list with 5 people @ Ameristar. Wonder if they'll kill one of the 30/60's to get this one going?

No chance, everyone on that list is at a main game now

Was hoping to see that one go. Figured you or Wiz would sit down and clean it up for 3 racks.

thanks, but it would've been a tough line up if it had run (I left around 130 AM last night and there was still a list so I don't think it went). I think I would've stayed at 30/60 to feast without some of the tougher players around.

Someone was telling me it ran during the week as well? Maybe the CPC drove it, I know there were at least a few out of towners around (played with Sam Grizzle last night). Was that a green chip game at least? Three racks of green would be awesome!

Got there a shade before 2 and I believe they'd pulled the interest list by then. Granted, I wasn't actively seeking it out either. Figured CPC was the reason an interest list started in the first place.

I'll be in the Denver area from 5/29 thru 6/6 for work. Where's the best place to play?Colorado still doesn't have true NL cash games right? What are the betting limits in the most popular games? Is there decent action during the week or is it best to stick to weekends? Thanks for the info in advance.

Ameristar has the biggest room and spreads the most games, both # and variety. Can't speak much for early or mid-week, but it'll be full on the weekends (Thurs night - Sat night). You're correct, no true NL. $100 max bet law makes the 1/2 & 2/5 games spread-limit.

The four casinos spreading the most games in BH (A*, Lodge, Isle, and Golden Gates) are all on Bravo and all within walking distance. A* definitely spreads the most games, but if you're playing 1/2 it's worth keeping an eye on Bravo.

I'll be in Denver most of July for the World Lacrosse Championships (helping out the Colombian team).

What is the rake structure on the 30/60 at Ameristar?

My reg games are 15/30 to 40/80; it's pretty frustrating that 30 is the ONLY mid-limit game in B'hawk.

Lastly, I'm sure I could find this somewhere in the thread, but I've already looked through 500 responses and I give up... how far is BH from DEN? 50 minutes to an hour or so? Is BH the only place (well, BH/CC) to play legal poker in CO?

If you drive from Downtown, it's about an hour drive. Good luck!! There are some cash games in the city that are underground but you have to know people and your stakes range is probably uncommon. The 30/60 game seems fairly juicy but watch out, I hear a lot about colusion. However, I have heard about people getting banned for that, so at least they're on the lookout for cheats.

It's 30/60 with a 2/3rds kill to 50/100 if you win 2 consecutive hands, second pot has to 300+. Rake is 5+2 (bad beat jackpot). It's a very beatable game even with that rake.

And there are two "CC"s where poker is legal, Central City (right next to BH) and Cripple Creek (down by Colorado Springs). You don't want to play Cripple Creek if you want to play mid-stakes limit. It's probably been hundreds of posts since the last mention of Cripple Creek in this thread.
