2-5. This is sort of my point. The book says do this here and don't do that there. Good. Play solid winning abc poker and get your 15$/hr. If you have a significant reading edge/skill edge you can throw it all out the window and do all sorts of unconventional **** and make a lot more money. I did it one week ago Friday with pocket 8's on a jack high turn and got called with a flush draw for 200$. I also turned a low of $260 into $2550 that night. Someone fires 100$ at you on a river. Book says never to bluff to 200 because you are getting called so light most of the time. I dunno. I made another $2k last night. I reraised every street on a hand with q-t off on a 33t board and got called by a mega fish with pocket 4's because he said my line looked so strong he figured I must have a flush draw. 95% of the decent a* players just call after the first raise because they think kicker problems. Against bad players 99% of the decent bhawk players don't know how to get anywhere close to full value.

* and I believe 20-30$/hr is certainly achievable

Shouldn't have started strat talk on here. Anyway I think I'm playing a handful of $365s a $580 and the main for WSOPc. Pretty stoked for it.

Looks good, nice to have more than one non-NLHE event! I may even play one or two of the NLHE ones to prepare for WSOP, may throw $1500 at the Millionaire Maker lottery.

In other Black Hawk news, I got to Ameristar at 7 on Friday, and it was dead. Good Friday thing? The Omaha/8 game was already finished, and we couldn't sustain 3 30/60 tables, usually 4 on Fridays. Last night (Saturday) seemed fairly normal though.

Finally, one of the 30/60 regs apparently got himself a 6 month ban, this is Colluder 2 is this post: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...postcount=1680 I got a couple of conflicting reports, but the gist of it is that he was accused of marking cards. If this is really the case why wasn't he permabanned? One of the poker room brass told me yesterday he was damaging cards. Unless you were to put stickers on the cards, I don't think I could see a marked card at the table, and this guy wears some thick glasses (my 20/20 vision has probably faded to 20/40ish by now). Anyway, he's apparently wiz and Tony's problem at the Gates now, keep your eyes on him!

I was there from about 8p-1a Friday as well. I was wondering why it seemed so slow.

I really wish I was going to be in town for the WSOPc. As it is, I'll be playing the Ladies WSOPc in Philadelphia this upcoming weekend since I have to be in New Jersey for work. It's some consolation, but not much.

Yeah that link should work for the CPC9 starting on May 9th right after the WSOPc at the Lodge completes. If it doesn't here is a different link to the google doc which has the schedule and prizes for this time around. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...=sharing#gid=5
We are giving 25k in prizes again just like the last few times so we fully expect great turnouts again even though it is right after the circuit....Let me know if you guys have any other questions about it.

Regarding the collusion/marking @ Ameristar, kudos to the dealer for calling that out. Whatever the reason may be, generally haven't seen dealers bring attention to that stuff unless it's completely egregious (in my experience).

Side note: just noticed all posts about this aren't there anymore. Uh oh?

I was told the recent marking/damaging event(s) were found on video, not sure if a dealer or floor said something to prompt this. This guy always sits in the 2 or 3 seat at Table 1, so if they were replacing a lot of decks at that table perhaps that got someone's attention?

I don't understand your side note, seems okay to me? At least my recent post and the one several months ago about the collusion are still there. Which ones are missing?

Wow, I'm completely blind. It's still right above. Guess I shouldn't 2+2 while working.

Its actually $70 on the $365. says on the receipt.
WSOP: $5
Add-on: $20
Admin Fee: $45

Pretty sure it was $65 juice last year and I remember getting $10 food vouchers per $365 entry which they are not doing this year

I really hope online poker gets going again. It's much better suited for tournaments. The fee is never more than 10% and usually less for the bigger buyins. Here we are talking about a 20% fee not to mention taking forever to play the tournament.

Yeah I saw this also, not sure what it means. It's pretty confusing, because all the prize pools are still being based off 300 +65. So I believe the rake is still 65. The big re-entry got 770 players and they listed the prize pool as 231,000.

I'm visiting next week and was thinking about playing the weekly PLO8 tourney at the Isle of Capri on Thursday evening. Does anyone have any experience with that one? Would appreciate any info you have, thanks.
