I had to laugh when I saw the sign by the smoking area at the Lodge prohibiting the smoking of marijuana. I imagine those signs will be popping up in a lot of places now.

Good looking game there! Usually you have to wait for the 3rd or 4th game to get a juicy one like that.

Do Colorado casinos have traditional nl cash games with no betting limits or is it still capped at 100?

Is there any chance of it changing in the near future? I'm asking cause I'm planning a trip in April too see how I like the state but it would be a deal breaker if I can't play real poker there.

Feh. I think that's because it's illegal. I played poker online when UB was around. (and b4 I knew it was illegal in CO.- the CO gaming sites still say this)

Step 1 is an amendment to get rid of the $100 cap. That's a very bizarre restriction that I've never heard of anywhere else in the US.
I admit I was against that amendment to begin with. I wanted it to stay at 5 - because I wanted to play 5 and less black jack and didn't want the casinos to end up like vegas with the minimums going up and up and up...

I think on-line though should be different then brick. And I think online should be poker only. Because I don't think the software for other games work right (I've always lost big when I've tried to play BJ online.)

Hope posting twice in a row isn't considered "spamming" The subject matter is different.

I am thinking of going up to CC /Blackhawk Friday.

So.... Do the casionos consider the weekend to start Friday morning... or Friday night? Would Friday during the day be considered a "week day"?

What about the fact it is before a holiday weekend? Does that change anything?

I'd like to visit the Lodge for the pai gow (see my previous post) and I'd still like it to be 10. I'd also like to play a poker tourney. Before someone mentioned Golden Gates as being good for that.... but is that nearby to the Lodge? (I haven't been up there in YEARS and I have never been by myself so am not sure of the layout.)

ALSO do the buses still run? I don't think I feel comfortable driving.

I found this site: http://www.casinoshuttle.com/schedul...a-sheridan.asp

But is that still active? (Sometimes websites live longer then the actual service). Are the bus times correct? - Does anyone on here use the buses regularly?

Thanks for any help.

- Sharon

Friday is considered a weekend. Gates is right across the street from Lodge. That bus schedule is current. Have a good trip!

Thanks for the reply. though... that sounds like no $10 pai gow.

I still haven't decided yet... My original plan was to go Fri, but I am attending a cat show this weekend and I'm way behind in prep. So I may put the trip off until later.

So I hear colorado is one of the few states that is actively looking to allow online poker.

I kinda think there is a good chance for it being put to ballet given it's a libertarian state.

Golden Gates is across the street from the lodge. IDK if they have paigow at the Lodge still. That link you put up is broken. There is a casino bus that runs hourly on the hour from 5250 Sheridan. It's on the east side of Sheridan on the south side of a run down strip mall. Round trip fare is $22.

Wetdog - if you mean my link... I just went back and clicked on it and it works fine. ???

And it goes right to the sheridan site with the $22. .

A reminder of one of the few rules in the RC subforum:

Respect other players' and card room employees' privacy; do not use personally identifying information on the forum unless they have given permission to do so either explicitly on the forums or implicitly by becoming an authorized representative.

Talking about the NBA players is fine, talking about "the hottie" is not.
