I am just saying that this game will only attract experienced and thinking players and it will not attract fish or degenerate gamblers. Simple and sometimes boring holdem is best bet to attract rookies and other "fish". Also, most of the money in Blackhawk is coming from rich Vietnamese gamblers and they play holdem only.

It become PLO up to $100 max. So if pot is $75, max bet/raise is $75. If pot is $100 or more, max bet/raise is $100

Anybody plays "deep stacks" at GG on weekends:

Friday: 12pm $160 30 mins *30,000
Saturday,Sunday: 12pm $210 30 mins 35,000 chips
it sounds like a decent tournament? Any ideas how long does it go attendance?
Are they usually done or final table by 8 PM? I am new to tourneys in Blackhawk and only played Venetian deep stacks but these at GG seems like decent structure?

For this month the Friday Saturday and Sunday noon deepstacks are all $160 buyin 30 min 25k chips. Keeping the buyins a bit smaller this month since it is traditionally a slower month with wsop going and CPC just finishing a few weeks ago. Still getting 70-100+ player fields Friday-Sunday noon.

25 juice +10 to dealers included in the $165. That time frame sounds about right.

Given the juice, no wonder they continue to get small fields...

22% with staff juice included is on the upper end of standard from my experience.

Yeas, I agree that this is pretty standard for smaller buy in tournaments.

Just noticed a bunch of different interest lists on bravo for the Ameristar. Are they actually trying to get different games/limits then the usual line up? Normally they delete any interest lists outside of 1/2/100, 2/5/100, 4/8 limit and 30/60 limit holdem

I think i saw 1/2 Omaha, 2/5 Omaha and 10/20 LHE with a few people on the list. I probably just saw it before they had the chance to delete it

Would be great if they started spreading something outside of the same 4 games.

Just wanted to drop in here and say that I just returned from a week and a hlaf in Vegas playing tourneys and cash at the golden nugget, the venetian, and the rio and was very proud to run into a big percentage of players from colorado. In fact when the 100 player field of the 8-game tournament at the nugget got down to the final two tables, 3 of the 12 were from right here in colorado. good turn out folks, and good playing!!

Heading up the hill for the first time in...****, ever, it feels like. At least 8 months. Feels cool to be going up, yet kinda weird. Anyway, I'll probably be at the DeathStar in a fedora. Holler if you want.

I think I played with you at the Golden Nugget Deepstack on the 25th or 26th of June, IIRC. We had a discussion at the table about how many Colorado players we were running into, as we had like 4 on the table, and no we couldn't get people pot. That you?

Hope your trip went as well as mine did.
