Question for anybody familiar with the application for a gaming license through Colorado Division of Gaming;

There are 3 or 4 pages of it where you must sign AND have two witnesses to the day and time of the signing, and the witnesses must sign also.

Can this just be two friends of mine? Or is it something I take to the CDG and they witness the signing, and sign it themselves?

TIA

What do you think about half kill? Any ideas?
Turns out I will be in Vegas 8/31, but I'll play on 9/7 and every week that I can make it up the hill going forward. Really looking forward to some 10/20 action in state. I would vote 'no' for a half kill.

Oh wait, they are you moron.

I already tried calling the phone number they put on the application. They are open 9-5(ish) Mon-Fri. I picked up the application an hour before they closed today and by the time I took it home and filled it out, it was past closing. I also went to their website to see if it was a FAQ which it was not.

I was planning on turning it in first thing Monday and was hoping to get my question answered before that (are you able to wrap your head around such a concept?). So I came to this thread since I figured there may be some Colorado casino employees here (Still with me? Since this is the Colorado Poker thread?) that may remember it from when they filled out the application.

But hey, I'm sure you felt really witty using that overused LMGTFY link. You probably thought we were so tricky! "Hey, I'll put a misleading title on the link to make it seem like it could actually help! But it really takes him to google! Bahahahahaha I'm hilarious!"

Fail.

I believe they have to be notarized. This is done at a notary. I think most big bank branches can notarize documents, as well as any other local notary. Notary is a funny sounding word.

Thanks, a notary hadn't crossed my mind. You may carry on with trolling.

Guessing you may have gotten your answer to this by now, but just in case... asked my gf who deals in Black Hawk. Said the signatures didn't have to be anything official/notarized... just need 2 witness signatures. Only restriction she remembers is it couldn't be a spouse, but anyone else would do.

It does amaze me how many hot heads there are at the poker tables that let things get to them. I think poker tends to attract type A personalities so it makes sense I guess. Whether it be an inability to keep their egos in check, or they're simply insecure with themselves, it does make for an entertaining night. We're all laughing at you secretly.

This has nothing to do with SirRarwsalot, just talking in general.

Anyone else think this??

Yeah, I called this morning. I was told the same thing and that they had to be 21+. The also said you can just leave them blank and sign them at the office (which I did).

Didn't take it that way, I was just kind of having fun in response to a pretty dumb post imo.

So there are four day 1's for the HPT Main? Any ideas on which day will be the softest? Can I play day 1a like a rebuy and come back on day 1b if I bust?

Theyre all soft. No cap on reentry. You can felt and reenter as much as you are able.

Saturday will be the softest because the best players who take the game seriously play Wednesday and Thursday to get some rest before they have to come back and resume play on Sunday. It sucks to play all day Saturday and have to come back Sunday early afternoon to resume playing again. All the fish who can't make up their mind if they want to play it or not will try to cram in at the last minute on Saturday.

Trust me, son.

And yes, there will be 4 starting flights. Wed, Thur, Fri, and Sat. You can rebuy in the same flight and you can come back another flight and play again. Pretty sure on this. The HPT website will confirm this in the structure guidelines.

Wizard, what is your name and where do you regularly play? Are you 50?

And I agree they are all "soft" but the softest day is typically the last flight.

My name is Chase. I was a 30/60 reg, not playing much locally lately. I've been working at Gates for ~6 months.

Spread the word with locals and we will see where it goes. I would commit for all night and willing to play even shorthanded

Hello folks,
I am very new to 2p2 as this is my first post. I was shocked last week when i realized what hell is going on at the Lodge Poker Room. After ruining the market for many years, the lodge decided to hire <name removed>. After asking him why they dont run tournaments anymore, he replied "Quite frankly i dont give a **** about tournament players, they are bitchy, they whine, and really dont make this place any money, I was hired to run a profitable poker room". What do you guys think, that alot of these managers that arent players themselves have become two faced? atleast on twitter (@lodgepokernews) they have been telling their regulars that they apologize for their two faced lies, and also have done away with their players comps. A good friend of mine that is a gaming agent, says there is an investigation as to if there is massive fraud boosting the bad beat numbers. Quite frankly this room has become very sickening does anyone agree? Are they the next to fail? i give them 5 more months Let me know what you guys think!!! Can they compete anymore?

Thanks,
Daamien

Do you guys think the lodge is the next poker room out the door in the blackhawk market?

A gaming agent who tells players about on going investigations?

OP may be new to 2+2 since he is naming people.

In this forum you aren't allowed to use people's real names.

Yeah let's all just talk about specific people who work real jobs with their real names over minor poker details and discrepancies. That's why, donk.

To be fair to him, he started the thread in NVG, where I don't believe there's a restriction against using real names. However the thread was merged in here, where there is such restriction.

Interesting note about the possible gaming investigation for the BBJ boosting. Never really thought about it, but just to play devil's advocate, does seem a little weird to me they'd have such large jackpots given the relative small number of tables/games that generally run there. Granted, most of my experience falls on either Friday or Saturday nights (which are generally the busiest), but I can't recall ever seeing more than 4-5 tables routinely running at The Lodge except when their BBJ's got bigger.

Just comparing it to Ameristar which almost always has all 17 tables running on the weekends (nights)... so it's easier to see how their BBJ's could get built up so high occasionally. Guess the argument could also be made The Lodge's BBJ's were all relatively small until Ameristar had their run a few months back of the crazy high 500-600k ones.

Not trying to get all NVG conspiracy-theorist, just trying to look at it objectively. I'm assuming by boosting you're saying the BBJ number advertised isn't the "real" jackpot and the casino isn't adding non-poker money in to inflate it.
