If you feel inclined to play some mixed games, plan to come up to Bally's on Thursday evenings. We talked about trying a Razz game next, but we could do a rotation of HORSE games or just flop games played as PL or NL. I'll call and get a mixed games interest list going for next Thursday. If you see it on Bravo, please call and add your name.
One thing about crazy pineapple: when is the appropriate time to discard your 3rd card? Do you think players should discard when it is their action on the flop, or should the betting round be completed before everyone discards at the same time? We played it by the latter rule, and it seems more advantageous in knowing how many opponents will be going onto the turn (e.g. decide whether you want to keep a pair or go for a big draw, which may be better to win vs a larger field)
I don’t believe I’ve seen or heard of a rule that mandates exactly when you have to pitch your discard other than needing to do so before the turn is dealt. I do think it’s best to wait until action is complete for the reasons you stated.
I’d be all for a HORSE game.
