I'm not saying it would be bad game (it would probably get great action), but 1/2 1 ante would be equivalent of 4/8 blinds and would play bigger than the 2/5. Would not work as a solution to fix nitty 1/2 or 1/3 games because it would play way above that price point.

Loving poker at Ameristar. Good action except for the few rocks on the table. Good food options, and free drinks

is Ameristar the closest option when visiting Denver..does the train run out there?

There's no train, despite the antique train engines.

Ameristar is the big room for cash games, although Isle of Capri and Lady Luck may have a table running. Golden Gates is the room for tournaments and usually has a cash table or two running. All are within walking distance of each other.

There are a couple of casino shuttles that run every hour or two. One is called Aces Casino Express and the is called Rambler. They take the droves of employees to and from work, as well as players like myself when visiting from out of town. Cost is $25 return, or $20 if you buy in advance online. And most casinos rebate you the cost after some amount of play.

I know this is a reach but I've been trouble getting in touch with him-- if anyone knows Scotter Clark could you please put us in touch with each other? We had a good time speaking during a recent mtt and I have some follow ups to discuss with him if possible. My understanding is he is from the midwest, hence why i'm posting here. Thanks!

A) You’re not going to find any true PL (or NL) games I’m CO with the $100 max bet.

B) Only regular Omaha game in BH is the 2/5-100 O8 at Ameristar that runs Fri/Sat.

Do you know if there are any shuttles that go from the Winter Park ski resort to Ameristar? That's the nearest casino with poker, correct?

Not sure about shuttles from Winter Park, but Black Hawk is the closest poker to there. Ameristar for live action only, Golden Gates for tourneys and live action.

Used to play here quite frequently back in the day (just Hold'em). Visiting in a couple weeks and wondered what the Omaha8 games were like here? What's the playing field like these days? I'm aware of the 100 spread limit and it typically only plays Fri/Sat.

Yeah what’s the O8 like? I wonder if I set an interest list up at every avaible room for a bi-weekly PLO game if any of them would fill up.

I called in and they said they rarely play hi only. On top of that, bettings not pot limit and it’s anything goes to the $100 cap, so feels like it would be a whole different game. If you can somehow get a true PLO game going, sign me up!

What's the O8 game like? It's pretty much torture. The Holdem games are mostly fun and profitable, but I've played the O8 game a few times and it is miserable. A bunch of older quiet people who are no fun and don't show down anything but the nuts, and some earbud-hoodie types who wear gear from their crap coaching website and talk incessantly about how they coach on their crap website. I keep giving it a chance and regretting it. YMMV.

Hey guys, poker friends and I are looking to rent a snowmobile for a couple of hours somewhere near Denver and Littleton. Any of you have any recommendations for the best snowmobile rental places in these areas?

Did that mix game go? I think that we could sustain once a week 8/16 HORSE or Mix game in Blackhawk.

Best tracks are in Grand Lake - nothing comes even close.

When is next CPC? Do they have schedule posted anywhere? I looked on Golden Gates page but it is out dated.

Unfortunately I did not have a single person that was interested.

I'm close to moving out of Colorado for poker but my conscience keeps kicking in at the last minute and I realize that just doesn't make sense to move for poker alone. Colorado is too good in every other facet but traffic and housing prices.

I do salivate when I look at the games running at Bike, Gardens, Hustler, Hollywood Park and Commerce though.. argh

You won't find any good snowmobile areas near these places. Colorado is very limited in regard to trail systems and off-trail mountain riding. You'll need to go out to Breck, Grand Lake, Rabbit Ears/Steamboat, Winter Park, Salida, Buena Vista, or any others within about 2 or 2.5 hours from the city of Denver. Sorry no specific suggestions for ya
