Wtf is wrong with you people?! This might be the only worse limit game than Omaha Hi, perhaps you can get an RO (OR? OhR?) game going!

Seriously though, razz is almost never played alone (only a couple of times a summer at the Rio do I ever see 15/30 Razz spread), almost always as part of a mix (HORSE) and even then it's often dropped (HOSE or SHOE). I'd guess that 75% of razz hands don't make it past 4th street, it's just not an action game, similar to Omaha Hi limit.

Mixed game of holdem and omaha hi/lo .... round by round?

Next, we're going to be hearing about Stud Hi/Low no qualifier.

Wanna hear something funny? Razz is not an approved game in Colorado!! Probably because someone called it Razz instead of Stud lowball, and regulators got confused. That's my guess at least.

Now this is a game I'd play! But alas I doubt it'd run even at 20/40 levels, one can dream though...

Ok, now I'm really dreaming, so I tracked down the Colorado poker regulations: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/sit...0%20041415.pdf

Wiz, we can't play razz but we can play "seven card low stud poker" aka, razz. And Doug, "the licensee" can set the qualifier, so we can play what is known at the Bellagio as "seven card stud hi/lo Regular" (no qualifier). That is sometimes an interesting game but usually more so when it's played "super" with 4 down cards, pitch 2 before 4th street is dealt. Unfortunately, there is no provision in the gaming regs for a superstud game.

Moreover, the only draw games that are legal are 5-card draw, either high or low, so 2-7 is out And badugi? GTFO.

Wow, you rocked this. The only reason I brought up 7 card no qualifier was that it was in the dealer's choice at the WSOP. Pretty sure high hands suck in the game. Sad about draw games.

There is an old Deuce Plays podcast episode with Bobby Hoff where he talks about his first time playing the game and he opened split kings and an older timer laughed and reraised him. Worth a listen.

Your link isn't working for me. Maybe it was just the ICMPs at Gates but it was not on the list last I saw.

I played in the 30/60 Omaha game, I thought it was a blast. It's unfortunate that it looks like it's going to be a one time only thing, don't think it's started in the last couple weeks now. Would be great to have something non-holdem at those stakes that runs regularly.

A couple of us have been pushing the floor to get clarity on if we can play 5 card O8, supposedly they're "working on it". I'm not holding my breath.

Back from WSOP, 4 good cashes, no wins this year.

As for the mixed game, they have been running a list at the A* (remember I HATE this place), but only time I ever saw it play was 10/20 and a huge private group that asked for it and filled the table for hours.

Always been surprised there wasn't enough interest for a bigger O8 game to run on the weekends. Can't remember exactly when (it very well may have been 2-3 years ago), but I do remember a big O8 game running on Fri/Sat nights when either the HPT or WSOP-C event was in town.

For every hour you play during 9am -1pm in August you get one entry into a drawing at month end for an hpt main event seat or $1,470 cash. I just read about it on the bravo app.

BH tourney players, I'm thinking about playing the multi day $400 deepstack event #1 of the CPC next weekend.

Which day do you think would be the best starting day if I am only firing one bullet?

Seems Thursday and Friday would have the highest reg-rec ratio so Saturday would be the best day 1, but what do you folks think?

This past weekend the game was actually Omaha HiLo (not High only). It was 30/60 on Friday night and part of Saturday night, then became a 25/50 game, they probably got several extra hands in per down with that change. I didn't play but heard it was often 4-5 to a flop. I didn't recognize several of the players so not everyone was a 30/60 LHE player.

Played A* for the first time since December Thursday. Profit $3141 in 8 hours. Went back Saturday and played 10 hours and got a $1900 profit.... over $5k in 2 day profit! How I have missed the safe environment offered by spread limit play to wealthy nutty people in Colorado.

EDIT: Only played the 2-5 100

Think it's cool they got a bigger game going. Not my limit, just always thought that would be the easiest "big" non-HE game to get running on a regular basis. Can't imagine how $5 would have made a big difference in action... especially in O8, but whatever works. Probably the same ppl who thought high-only was less of a crap shoot than LHE. haha

Assumed that game would've been filled with a decent # of 30/60 players, but guess it's a good thing it (apparently) has its own player pool. Good for you it didn't cannibalize 30/60 and take away all your punching bags.

Guessing that the difference was playing single green chips versus stacks of red. Huge pots without the dealer counting down every bet and raise.
