I was in NZ a yr ago, so this info might be outdated.
The Christchurch game was ok. Most nights have tournys, with maybe 30-40 players. Cash games ran along side, and a donkament PLO $1/3 game, which had a max buy-in, which meant players were literally all-in, every hand. It was really wierd. Maybe they have changed it. The cash was just 1/2, or 1/3. I never saw a bigger game,
Auckland was similar, but, the rake was higher if I recall. Games didnt run much past mid-nite. Just not enough players.
Both places decent had decent tables/dealers etc.
