What's the demand like for cash games at Christchurch Casino?

They seem to be the home of poker for NZ.

Looking to play 2/5 to 5/10, how many tables can I expect to see throughout the week?

Played last night.

$80 NZD .. $60 US, tourny starts at 6.30 .. they got 2 tables, for a turbo .. 6k chips, 15 min levels. Play was a bit weak, with maybe 4 decent players. Got it in good again, with 6 players left, and got run-down.

After the tourny, a $1/2 cash game starts .. $75-$200 buy in .. 10% rake, up to $10.

Game was pretty good, with some decent action.

Casino was well run, free drinks (non-alcholic), and kitchen came over with discounted sanwiches, at about 11pm .. $5, from about $11.

Enjoyed it .. Bruce Springstein plays a concert here tomorrow, and lotsa hotels booked out .. so, thought it might have been a bit busier .. but, maybe, its a different market.

The cash games, are v good .. maybe 1-2 decent LAG in the whole player pool.

Rasied to $17UTG, called by Fish1, Fish2 (who ony 3 bet, all night with KK), OWGFish3, and with $68 free in the middle, I decide to shove.

A $1/2 PLHE started, maybe 2 hrs after the NLHE. Max buy in $300. Many hands, all-in pre, for majority of stacks (avg stack $200). really weak holdings .. I dont totally understand the game, but putting in 1/3rd stack, with a general holding of 3,6,9,K not suited, cant be great play.I think a decent pro, would crush the game.

Yes. Was there last week for 6 nights.

Generally only 1/2 NLHE (sometimes an additional table of 1/2 PLO). Max buyin is 100bbs. General play is passive but there are a few maniacal regs. Should be profitable for any decent pro. Rake is 10% to $11.

They run tournaments on Mondays and Tuesdays but usually total players is between 10-25. Still, I had fun winning a $100 bounty.

- Sounds quiet; might have to check out Dunedin as well when I cross the ditch next month.
