1. If I ride the Metra in to Ogilvie (sp?), where is the closest place to catch one of the free shuttles?
2. I'll probably come Friday. How long of a commute should I anticipate once I'm on the shuttle? I'm planning to catch the earliest shuttle possible.
3. Can you call ahead to get on a wait list? (I assume it'll be busy, even during the day on a Friday.)
4. How long will the commute back into the city take in the evening? I don't want to miss the last Metra home.
I know these questions have probably been asked and answered a million times on this board, but I couldn't find them. Also, I've looked at different websites with the shuttle schedules, but I wanted to hear from someone who has actually made the trip.
Thanks.
1 & 2. It's not the closest shuttle but the best shuttle is in Chinatown (right near Chinatown red line stop), which is hourly and takes about 20 minutes to and from (more coming back to Chicago in rush hour). The schedule for all the shuttles can be found here:
https://www.caesars.com/horseshoe-ha...hotel/shuttles.
3. You cannot call ahead and put your name on the lists.
4. In non rush hour it takes 20 to 30 minutes coming back to Chinatown, add about 10-15 minutes if you take the south loop shuttle.
