I would skip them. Maybe Majestic if you wanted to play a tournament and you were late for Horseshoe's tournament.

I would have gone with "Maybe Majestic if you want to see how poorly a poker tournament can be run."

We're shooting to get a small stakes home game going in Lakeview on Friday, 10/4.

We have 5-6 right now but could use a few more.

Can anyone give any feedback on how soft the $1-$2 NL game is at Majestic Star these days. I stopped in and jumped in a game there this weekend and it was very loose, lots of players seeing the flop and some outrageous calls. Is this usually how the games are these days?

I went to Majestic Star a week and a half ago. There was two 1-2 NL cash games going on. This was at 8:00 in the morning. The poker manager said there's usually two tables of 1-2 going on consistently here.

I only played for 2 hours but during that short time my table seemed very active. Lots of raising, lots of callers, outrageous hands revealed at showdowns. I'm going to go again Friday morning to check it out.

I've never played at Harrah's so I can't make a comparison.

I'll be in Chicago for a business trip and thinking of taking a night off to play poker. Staying at the Fairmont in Millenium Park. Where are the closest/best casinos to play? Any way to get there without a car, and if not how much does a cab run?
