D) Playing 9/18 necessitates a new chip deonomination (3-dollar) which slows things down as it's an additional color they have to stock readily, color-up/down, etc.
E) There are probably like 5 other reasons I'm not surprised the 9/18 didn't stick around.
A) M8trix spreads what the players want. They spread a 100/200 limit on occasion because some players want it. Same with the 10/25 NL game.
B) Agree.
C) Agree
D) They already had red $3 chips, dealers use them for drops.
They originally added 9/18 for 2 reasons. They assumed it would drop more, because its a 3 chip game. Also, word was they wanted to get away from "Garden City" games. At least that was what I heard.
What they didn't count on was nobody wanted to play 9/18. The customers wanted 8/16. So they went back to 8/16, but unfortunately for them their customers are already at Bay 101. Loyal GC players are now Bay 101 customers. Brilliant move management.
I loved the 8/16 game at GC, and would love to play it at M8trix. I now have to go to the other place to find that game. If it aint broke, don't fix it. Some people just don't get it.
