That smell sticks to your clothing too. Everytime I play there, my gf asks me what is that smell. At first I didn't mind the scent, now its getting to me.

Too strong, and not really pleasant. At least turn it down, reminds me of a woman wearing to much perfume that isn't good in the first place.

At least until things change, I'm done with 8 because of that scent..I can't stand the smell while I'm playing poker. Even after leaving the building, it sticks to your body and clothes for hours.

I ran into this review on Yelp of someone who claims he got a counterfeit $100 bill from the M8trix cage and when he found out they said that once he left the premises with it its his problem.
Not really sure how the casino can address someone walking in a day after and claiming this, but doesnt sound like they are doing a good job (or anything) in his case...

What are they supposed to do? Checking the tapes only proves he got some $100's from their cage. It does not prove that he got that specific fake from the cage.

Got there 6pm last night. Texted in prior to heading out. 235 seat in 2 minutes. 5510 seat in 45mins. Started an omaha game after being there 2 hours. There were a few open tables so I'm sure if you wanted to start whatever game they would have been accommodating if you had the players.

I can only confirm games on the higher limit side of the room becasue it is all so spread out:

some blue chip games (3 6? LHE) near the bathroom side.

Food I've tried:

spinach and swiss omelette -- was ok...possibly gi upset linked?

country salad -- was good the first time, smaller and not as good the second time

steak bites -- good

I'm not going to a poker room for fine dining, as long as there are a few decent options that don't make me vomit then I'm ok with the food.

Chip runners: much faster than previous...perhaps they are working on this, or maybe it was just slower overall in the room last night

Food Service: much faster (which is to say is was normal speed) than previously. The floor seems to be more helpful in getting me a menu and food, etc...I have the impression they may me trying to not lose regs with terrible service at this point.

Parking: I have yet to have an issue, but I haven't played there on a weekend yet...will probably do so this weekend

Overall impression is that it is a decent but not exceptional place to play poker...I would prefer to be at the Aria or the V, but I'm in San Jose not Vegas. I play poker there and I make money, all the rest isn't that big a deal to me as long as there are decent games going.

I've tried to find info on the text-in service on the website, not sure if I missed it somewhere. Is it for all games or just the higher limit/buy-in games?

You need to give them your number in the text as well, otherwise they don't know how to text you back. That's stupid, but they don't have ID recognition on it for some reason.

The parking is fine during the week, when there is a crowds still an issue. The wait for games isn't too bad now, but again when busy its rough.

If you want to go to M8trix, going during the week is not bad at all. Its the weekends that suck.

Agree about the food. Its just not that good, except for a few things. Extremely hit or miss. Whoever does the food service there is really letting that place down. The reviews are right on from the bartenders, servers,and quality of food. The servers are nice to look at.

Pretty sure, beneath it all, it is GC that does the F&B.
