How is the mid-higher stakes action at Lac Leamy or Ottawa in general? Does 2/5 run every day? 5/10 weekends? What about PLO.

2/5 runs most days as far as I know. 5/10 and occasionally even 10/25 runs pretty much only on Friday nights.

I play next to no live poker but found myself there this weekend. We managed to get 1 5/10 table going and there was a waitlist for 10/25 that didn't materialize sadly.

Room's fine, the games were great and everyone was super friendly.

Ik Lac Remy is still closed, but looking at the website it says that there's a 1/1 table.

What's up with that? Did they remove the 1/2?

So the poker room at Lac Leamy opened recently, but they've downsized it from 15 tables down to 6, and replaced the extra space with slot machines. Now you have to wait like 2-3 hours to get a seat. It's unbelievably frustrating.

I assume the casino bled money during the pandemic and so is trying to maximize revenue by dedicating as much floor space as possible to slots, the #1 money maker. Still a downright tragedy though. I wish the Ottawa/Gatineau region could get a proper poker club. The poker scene here is trash.

At least you aren't far from Playground.

In town for the weekend. Go to play some poker. Brush tells me not worth getting on list as wait is 69 for 4 tables of 1-2 and 31 for 1 table of 2-5. They estimate at least 4 hours wait. Room has the 5 tables and then a ton of empty space.

Maybe put in more tables? 😆

Welcome to Ontario, where market forces in the casino industry are not a thing. Just got to wine and dine the politicians.

They removed the slots and apparently will be adding more tables in Sept. Still the same shitty brushes and dealers. They changed the call in to 3hrs instead of 2hrs. Tables open at 11am and are usually only staffing 2-3 tables on the weekends until 5pm.

I just called for info on the room and got the following

1-2 $250 cap
2-5 $1000 cap
Rake is $10 cap (he didnt know %)

5-10 sometimes runs on weekends, I didnt ask cap.

Apparently BBJ is over 1m now.

Anyone else want to add any other info?

I am hoping to move to Ottawa region this summer, so just scoping out live poker there.
