8-handed, no plexiglass, no mask requirement, 17 tables (although I overheard one of the floor people saying they will be adding more tables soon, it'll be great to not have 30-player wait lists on weekends)

Gracias. I’m generally an 8/16 player there but I might not be rolled so might be a blue chipper this trip (my business disappeared in 2020 so put my poker roll into the family pot).

Are masks required now? The web site contradicts itself regarding asks.

They weren't required last night.

Long time no post. But, made it to Canterbury Park last night. 20/40 was going, playing 8-handed. No longer a drop game. 10$ per half-hour. But players are not eligible for promotions, including jackpot.

Ten dollars is extremely high for 20/40. About 50 percent higher than the same game in Vegas, Atlantic City or Md all of which are 7.

I agree it's high for time, but it might not be worse than the rake. How much was the rake in the 20/40 game before this change?

$4+2

13 hands per down is about the break even then, tho as stated ineligible for any of that coming back via promotion/bbj.

How often does the game run at only 6 or 7 handed? Assume a break at 5 handed?

Any news on when the $500 and $1000 survivor cash games will be back? I heard they were debating charging a higher time rate.

Does the 40/80 mix run every day or when?

M-F, starting around 10-11am, sometimes Sat and Sun

Canterbury needs to get their crap together for these tournaments. They haven't been prepared for the Cheap n' Deep, or the tag team that I played recently.

Better plan on getting there early, or expect to be an alternate for 1.5 hours with 30-40 people waiting.

What would you have them do?

I was back in the room for the first time in a while it seems that they have eliminated the Chicken Wild Rice soup as an every day option.

This is a war crime.

They opened multiple new cash game tables while we were waiting. Obviously this is in Canterbury's best interest as they generate more in rake from a new cash game tables than tournaments where they already collected the rake, and people are just sitting around.

Seems fine to me. They probably had a set number of tables for the tourney.

I get back to town occasionally. My whole CP visit is dependent on that soup.

how often does that 50-100 game run? ive been seeing it on bravo app. is it all dependent on 1 or 2 certain ppl playing in it or is it just completely random when it runs?

It’s random. Most don’t like it, but if a couple specific players start it HU or 3 handed early in the AM, there is nothing CP can do. Very rarely will you get everyone in the 40 to agree to convert
