Thread for Harrington (Delaware) poker.

Any chance of a moderator moving the Harrington-related posts from the other Delaware thread over to here?

Probably going to play tonight and will be there tomorrow during the day. I have yet to get a PLO game going there.

Have they been able to get a consistant LHE game running? From every trip report I have read, it appears the only games they get running are 1/2 and 2/5 NL.

Everytime Ive gone, its only been 1/2nl and 1 table of 2/5nl running.

LHE just isn't that popular anymore. Looking at last night's Borgata game report, they had 15 tables of 1-2NL against only 3 tables of 2-4LHE. With that ratio, you would think Harrington might be able to get 1 table of 2-4 going for every 5 tables of 1-2NL. I suspect most of the average players don't know they can ask to start a list for a game that isn't running.

Does anyone know what the story is on comps in the poker room (or at the table games)? I didn't think to ask the floor to swipe me in when I played poker last weekend and I didn't play any table games.

I was there Wednesday afternoon and was told they are not rating poker players yet. They do rate you for table games and slots.

I got there around 1pm and had to wait about 1/2 hour until they got a third table going. Also had a smack down with the floor, "Bernie", about the good idea but horribly executed pager system. Both times I've been, by the time I got the page and got to the podium they had given my seat away since they had been "paging you for 30 minutes". Why do they hand out pagers if they don't work consistently in the casino? Isn't that where they want you to be while you wait? I later spoke to "Larry" who said he was the room manager. He apologized and said they were working on a better system. I reccommended they warn folks that the pagers only work within 30 feet of the room.

He apologized for my aggravation but did not offer any type conciliatory compensation. I hope they work out the kinks as it is a much better drive for me than anywhere else.

When I was there they implied that the pagers only work in the area near the poker room, so they obviously know there are some range issues. It's a great idea and I hope they can find a way to improve it so they work in the whole casino.

their pagers are similar to one you'd find in a TGI Fridays. Obviously, the distance from the poker room to the casino is already about the length of your average chain restaurant, therefore the pagers won't work properly.

Any news on getting the LCD boards working properly? They really need to have the LCD screens spread throughout the casino as well. Its tough to believe they didn't think of this ahead of time.

I've seen these pager systems work in areas quite a bit bigger than a chain restaurant (like in a shopping mall). I imagine there are signal repeaters they can install that will widen the area.

Played for a couple hours yesterday afternoon. Overall not a bad experience but you could tell the dealers were new and inexperienced. When I arrived they had 2 1/2 tables with no wait and when I left they had a waiting list about 5 deep. I did here the woman running the the room tell the people on the list that the pagers would only work upstairs in the waiting area or the restaurant next door and if they wanted to go downstairs to leave a cell number.

What about SNGs or Tourneys? They have no info on their site, what is the casino offering in terms of these if anything?

No tournaments so far. I don't know if they're planning to introduce them down the road or not.

Thanks. I don't have the money to play 200NL online, so I'm not going to play it in the casino either, just for the sake of playing live.

Dealers are definitely improving IMO at harrington. I go 2 or 3 times a week, one dealer is hilarious. if people aint payin attention or slowin action he speaks the action to them in spanish and is like get it now? lol

Has the number of games increased or is still just pretty much 1/2 nl?

unfortunately its still 1/2nl with the 1 table of 2/5nl running later in the evening. but its only a 20 minute drive for me, so i cant complain.

I actually got a game of 6/12 O8 going Saturday night, turns out alot of people would play omaha but i guess they dont know they can ask for a new game to be spread. I went around the room asking people if theyd play omaha h/l and ended up getting a table of 8 to play.

I would take the time and visit this room again if they could ever get a LHE game going. Anyone know the phone number for the poker room podium?

How many games midweek? What levels r being spread? Long waits still?

I would love to see 10-20 lhe spread!

I wouldn't mind seeing even a 4 - 8 or 5- 10 game

Got there wed night (july 7) at 730pm; got seated immediately.
5 1/2nl tables going.

At 9pm they opened a 2/5nl table.

Left at midnight; they had a list (4 I think) for the 2/5 game to keep it going.

Dealers were decent. Rake is 5 + 1 for bad beat jackpot. Will definitely be back.

The action at both my 1/2 & 2/5 tables was very good bit not crazy

Awfully quiet in here... is anyone playing at Harrington? I might go up next Saturday (Aug 7) to get some play in before my trip to Vegas at the end of August.
