I was just at Stampede on Saturday (May 14) and there was 1-2 nl being spread and an omaha game as well, although I'm not sure what limits they were playing.

A few nights earlier I was at Grey Eagle and they had lots of 1-2 NL and 1 or 2 tables of 2-5 as well.

Another note both Grey Eagle and Stampede now have a 'double straddle' meaning the blinds would be 1-2-5-10 and can create some crazy action.

Just got home from 3-day trip to Calgary. *Won C$1600 in 2/5NL at Stampede Casino Wed night to 4am. *90-min session today at Stampede good for C$350 win. *Add Calgary regs to list of Runkleville tourists.

2/5 plays tougher and deeper with more experienced players and $1000 cap buyin vs $300 for the 1/2. The 1/2 was playing pretty loose during my short sessions waiting for a 2/5 seat.

i think your best bets for 2/5 are Stampede on a flames game night. or deerfoot/eagle on any weekends. Elbow has a bigger holdem game 10-25 on sunday, monday, thursday.... Calgary Casino has 2/5 PLO everyday.

What limits is Elbow spreading nowadays? That was the first place I ever played live and the first time I ever played limit hold 'em. They ran 4-8 and 15-30 back then. I'm thinking about spending a good amount of time in December in Calgary. I play a lot of limit now and would kind of like a 10-20 half-kill or full kill game, do they run that?

Going to Calgary soon for 2-3weeks to play some live poker and get my cut of that dirty oil money. Will take breaks from poker to go snowboarding the rockies. I dont need advice on snowboarding (going to KickingHorse) but I do need advice on the live action.

You guys have 6 casinos in one city, that is ridiculous. I am going there to play 2-5$nl, 5-5$nl or 5-10$nl if the game isnt filled with good regs. Which place is my best bet for each day? Are there special nights at certain casinos that influences game quality? This is the kind of stuff i am looking for, thanks.

Yea, no action at Elbow,
Stampede was a boring rock fest but some good action at the 1-2-5.

Casino Calgary seems like a great poker room from the 1 time I was there. Everyone is really friendly and the players are pretty bad.

I heard from some randoms there is some casino that has a juicy 10-25NL game 2x a week or something like that. Is there any casino that has a 5/10NL game on certain nights? What is that "Indian casino" called?

The indian casino is called the Grey Eagle. Its built / run on native ground so smoking is permitted in the gaming areas, etc.

Has a good buffet too

Stampede (Cowboys) casino is insanely soft during stampede, was there in the early afternoon and there were 5 tables of 1/2 running & 1 table of 2/5. Full house (15-20 tables) later in the evening.

I am looking to put together a 5/10L stud hi/low spli game at ABS, I have a dealer (sorta 2). game will probably be pretty soft, I don't even really know the game myself but ill be playing
