And as mentioned above. The room is a bit misleading. Their status updates say that games are full and lots of players and i show up and its a 6 handed 50 cent game. I have even called about the 1/2 plo and they tell me that people are asking about it and we have a solid list but i get there and no list and its dead!

That makes me mad...
It made me mad too. They are more honest than your average online affiliate though, haha. Ever have an affiliate pimp a slow/bad room to you? Hell, I had one of those try to sign me up to Revolution last week.

Not sayin that makes it right, of course. Where I give them a pass is that they are obviously trying so hard to make it a good room, so I can forgive a little showmanship on the promoting now that I know what's up. I'll call during the week next week to ask what games are going and tell whomever answers the phone that I'm not up for bull****. If they still bull**** then all bets are off, but seeing how everyone there has been cool I'm not anticipating any problems. I just hope they get players.

No NLHE currently running, which is a damn shame. They have Omaha and O8 going though. I guess the tournament players aren't sticking around to play hold em cash but it's nice that they had that field. Just going to chill at home tonight. Maybe they will hit up twitter if they get NLHE going.

They are only a buck. If Buckeye cares about a dollar they probably should not be running a poker room anyway.

How strict are they about enforcing the buck for the card?

I played at the Excalibur when they had electronic tables and enjoyed them, that's why I'm considering go up there.

After the past couple of threads, I'm reconsidering.

Don't reconsider... definitely better than the casino for low stakes games.

First post to say that this place is great and it would be awesome to have a regular NLHE table but sadly not the case.

I agree, when a game is running it's time to party like it's 2005. Unless you hate calling villain's J8 100bb bluff shove into 4 people and a 3 bet.

Let's try to make a coordinated effort to get games started and thriving. This place is a dream compared to the Horseshoe. If you are a Cleveland poker player and haven't been here yet, that's your fault

I agree. All they need is people.

People will come, 5 tables at this point in the $60 bounty. Need more though. People will play tournaments but there's a lack of retention in cash games. How to bolster that?

There's wifi now a well which certainly helps. This was always a dead zone

Full 1/2 table right now. Several action players

I was up there earlier today and I got a new card for free. Looks like they got rid of the fee for replacement cards.

that $2 virtual BJ game, does it still exist and does it pay 3-2 on BJ? the ones in NV do.

seems like east cleveland would be a good place to be homeless and camping outdoors in a sleeping bag without it being too hot this time of year like vegas is. better on a low roll (say like $600-800 or less). of course ud have to be far enough east to be safe, some of the areas of east cleveland arent so safe.

does the 25c50c plo go all the time, is it easy to get a seat, and is the game loose like a live game, or tight like an online game?

and how often does the 10c25c NL go? id think a small roll would last forever there, but id earn less than min wage of course, but im used to earning way less than min wage my entire career as a winning player. since it says its for "beginners" is there a limit to how many days u could play in that game before they would no longer consider u a beginner? im not really a beginner, but to them i would be since ive never been there before

I've probably been in there 10 times. Each time the .25/.50 PLO has been running.

I asked yesterday about the Tuesday 1-3 game. They said it ran from 5pm till about 11pm.

TBC ITT! What up mr bigcharles. I read your blog.

Yes there is $2 blackjack everyday. And it does pay 3 to 2

The.25/.50 plo goes everyday. Sometimes two tables. It is a wild game with fun players and is easy to get started in

The .10/.25 nlh is not offered anymore.

Buckeye is right near a major interstate, sits directly on a bus route and is fairly easy to get to. There is cheap housing all over northeast Ohio.

So, can we convince the horseshoe to run a .25/.50 PLO game to encourage a fun atmosphere?

Not sure if serious, but not really practical to deal a .25/.50 game live because the rake might be too low for the casino to profit. They need alot of pots to get to the rake cap. also, no .25/.50 chips.

Not to rip on the Horseshoe, but doubtful there is ever/will ever be a fun atmosphere at the casino. They generally go out of their way to be rude to regular players. Even if you were playing .25/.50 they would go out of their way to enforce every minor rule.

From what i have heard Buckeye is not shutting down due to business reasons. They are shutting down because the state is asking/forcing them to do so.

So yeah, ive heard from fairly reliable people the place is closing. Disappointing was fun to go to a fun laid back place every now and then although, they struggled to bring in new players for the most part.
