Mainly the freezeouts at the Gala if I play live. On the backburner at the moment because weddings and houses are expensive

Do you know a few players ? Im new to bristol I don't have any poker buddy's here apart from a few "acquaintances" at the gala, perhaps I could get a couple of the old dudes to tag along.

I prefer Holdem cash game 200nl or lower would be my preference but I'm up for anything.

I'll be at the Gala for the £33 on Friday.

I'll look out for you Matt (Even though I don't what you look like). I get in at 5 (5-7pm is rake free btw) as long as I don't bust through 400 before 7:30 I'll be on the main table.

Interesting that there seems to be a fair few people in here who play cash at gala. I usually come down once a week with a mate, for a few years now, and never see anyone that comes across as a twoplustwoer.

There are a few people who get in there who you can tell study the game.

There was a dude tonight who I had seen before spouting off a load of strategy. He started talking about how he has to download a bunch of DC videos on the iPad he had with him and how he prefers DC to Leggo. He also felt like he had to tell one of the biggest donators (who happend to be running super hot and sucked out on him) that he was a "donkey". He's not the only one I've seen talking strategy but he is by far the most prolific. It was terrible for the already fairly bad/nitty game, he had these guys terrified to make mistakes in front of him.

Sorry for the rant but it was really annoying to watch/listen to, had to get it off my chest.

Yeah i come across people like that from time to time. There is a middle aged man who wears headphones everytime i see him play, who doesnt shut up about strategy, trying to throw as many words like "varience" and such into a sentance as he cant fit, as if he has a point to prove.

I looked through one of your threads and saw you mention youve moved back from America recently, in which case im almost certain i know who you are and have played with you a few times.

I come down with Dan, whos generally loud and obnoxious to anyone that beats him in a pot (we're both early to mid twenties). Not sure how else i can describe us but that may give you an idea.

I think I can guess who guys are. Both real young looking, one blonde and one Asian ? If that's you guys its always been a pleasure! I've not witnessed the loud or obnoxious behavior so maybe I got it wrong or perhaps I've only seen him running nice.

I wouldn't worry too much about table captains in the Gala. The fish there are going to be there every single night because they love gambling, and they're never going to get any better.

I try to be there just before 5 cus if you do they give you 2 free goes on the roulette (well you pick 1 number and if you hit it exact they give you £20) and they also give you a blackjack ticket where they will match your bet up to £5 one time, which is good cus I think it's about 43% to win a hand of blackjack. I'm having some awful run bad with these promotions though😛

If I worked regular hours I'd def be up for a home game or meeting at gala. Saturday is my only free day to meet.
