My buddy started playing 1-2 NL at about 14 hours per day 3 months ago. By the 3rd or 4th day he was getting most weekends.

it's all about daily average and total hours. more hours and more play = free rooms.

One marathon session, won't get you free rooms but you put in a few 10 hour sessions you will start seeing some weekends.

Exactly once they see that your play is not a fluke, and your average play over a long period of time is over $80 in rake cleared a day, you will get weekends (i.e 8 hours at a time game, or 10 hours at 1/2 approx)

yes, but only a few get the in room wifi, I would think. You can get free wifi in the living room, and all over the casino floor including the basement cafeteria.

I was surprised but one 10 hour session with no other play for six months and I have most sun-thu as far out as the calendar goes.

do you know if it ever gets reset? On average, I put in 2-3hr sessions about once or twice a week, which is terrible for comps...so I'm curious whether a few long sessions would get some rooms or am i sol for doing that the past 2 yrs.

Are the minimum buy ins different from the sticky.? I went the other day but I was told that 5/10PLO was 1K minimum. If its in this thread updated somewhere it would take forever to find

i'd imagine it does. Hypothetically, if you were putting in 10 hour sessions 3/4 times a month and nothing changes after a few weeks, I would ask Mabel to check into it.

I'm headed to the Borgata for a friend's bachelor party the first weekend in May. Any chance the Spring Poker Open is still going on, or is it always over by the end of April? Thanks for answering a newbie question, AC isn't my usual haunt.

I do not think they have the schedule out yet, anybody remember when the spring open was this year, think it ended around the end of April so you may be close

I think the Borgata Spring Poker Open started April 2, 2013 and went until the 19th. I could be wrong on the end date though.

I just booked Monday DEC 30th for $89 (king classic). the first three weeks of December on weekdays are comp'd besides the 30th. I can't think of the last time I paid for a room on a weekday. Should I call a host and/or Mable from the room to see if I can get it comped? Usually do 6 trips to AC a year. 8 hour days at a table. and drop around $1,000 on BJ @ $50 hand,.

30th is probably close to the new years that demand is high for that night. Higher demand, harder to get comped.

The WPT Championship will be held at Borgata at the end of April, 2014.

Just got the upgrade to black label thing done tonight. I am a diamond member at Caesars. The whole thing went pretty smoothly, but just wondering if anyone has any tips that has done this before. Will I start getting some solid offers from Borg or do I have to play to the level of a black label player first? Also, how much grace period do they give me if i don't play at the Borg for a bit?

There is no grace period. You get the card for a year. If you don't earn 1000 comp dollars in the next 365 days you lose it. You can never upgrade due to a Caesars card again you can only earn your way to keeping the black card.

Technically you cannot, but you are correct, they give you a grace period of 3 times if you get lucky.

Showing your CET Diamond card to get a Borgata Black card is something anyone can do at Borg; it's not only for poker players. Technically, you are only supposed to be able to do this once but many poker players have successfully done this in multiple years. That doesn't mean players will always be able to continue to do it going forward.

You are only given the free room and the slot dollars the first time when they match cards statuses. After that, you can still match card status (obviously subject to change), but no other perks come along a card match after the first year.

Me and my wife went downstairs to eat and were away from the table for a whole 45 minutes missing two absent buttons after playing non stop for 6 plus hours . When we came back the floor picked up our chips and our jackets were sent to security . What ? The policy per the floor is 3 absent buttons and then you are picked up and this new floor lady I never seen told us it's not 2 absent buttons . Can someone please confirm what is the policy ?
