I actually play more live. I think my problem is that I would never sign out and thus never get my session recorded. I didnt figure that little nugget of info out until about a year ago. But the main problem is that I can only get down to AC about 3-4 times a year.

BTW- thanks for the help in the room rate

anyone play in the 1/2 or 2/5 PLO games? are the buyins similar to NLHE (i think 2/5 PLO has a 1k max?)?

what would they compare to online? i've been playing .5/1PLO recently and might play a little live next time i'm at the borg

I got the Sunday-Thursday offer!

When I went on to book though, it appeared to be saying none of the dates were available. It had three calendars (June, July, and August) but none of the dates were "green" which meant they were available to book. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes, I had the same issue, but I called and requested a room for two days next week, and they were both available. (I only have one day/week comped, but asked about both days)

Another Borgata question.

What do you all use your comp dollars on?

The cafeteria downstairs is great and fast, but all those places charge 2 comp dollars for every 1 real dollar. Is there anywhere around the Borg that takes comp dollars at 1:1? I think I heard room service does?

What do you use them on?

I usually use em at the buffet. I am embarrassed to admit that I don't know if they are 1:1 or 2:1 tho

I'll be around this weekend. I plan on playing 2/5NL for the most part but I'd be interested in a 6/12-10/20ish HOSE game if one ran.

Got it! Am very happy that I did, and plan to take advantage of your generosity frequently throughout the summer. We think we can get this Stud8/HOSE game up and running the Friday before July 4th? I'm def heading down that weekend, and was hoping we get it going a little early. Can't wait to play that live.

Buffet is 1:1. When I had comp dollars, I usually used them at Bread & Butter (triple decker PB&J, yum!) or NOW noodle bar. Comp dollars are more versatile at the Borg because you can use the whole balance of your comps on hotel rooms, and then pay the difference. So, if you ever stay at the Borg, use your comps.

1:1
I usually go to buffet/Black label Lounge(10 comp dollars i'm black card)
Metropolitan
bread and butter
NOW.
Room service

I think those are the best values.

If i grab a quick burger or cheesesteak downstairs i pay cash since i think its a waste to use them at 2:1 when i can go other places.

Depending on how much you eat i think if you are red card you are better off going to Metropolitan instead of buffet.
Buffet for dinner=$28 i think where you can get a good sized meal and drink for less than that at Metro.

Big fan of B&B here - its close to the poker room relative to anything other than the downstairs, good speed on service, and damn good food.

How about appointing a temperature czar in your absence so its not constantly being changed by different people?

B&B is certainly awesome, I prefer to eat there for breakfast rather than lunch/dinner, but I certainly can there.

Wow. Super shocked to see this in my account. May give myself a Wed-Friday trip at the end of August instead of flying to Vegas in September for my birthday.

I dont think there is much point in complaining about the temp, I always have a light jacket or sweater with me whenever I play at casinos. And usually a scarf and knit cap too, but I always get cold playing, and come prepared

On the temperature front, I always find it and generally always hear people complaining about it being freezing in there. I always wear long sleeves though so I rarely get cold playing.

Best food by far is downstairs at Habachi-san. Salmon Teriyaki is simply superb. B&B is good as is the Metropolitan (shout out to Robin!). Obv there are better "fine" dinning options but poker players are not a pretentious bunch
