flat $5. If you do leave make sure to get a reciept. You can use that to get free parking at another casino (good until 6AM)

Yes, it was a A LOT of fun. I've never seen action like that in any 4/8 or 5/10 game, especially in the O8 1/2 kill rounds.

At one point we joked that this was probably the toughest 4/8 game going in the U.S. Not too many weak spots, but that'll change as soon as people start to see the game and hear the word of mouth. Let's hope...

One conversation that took place after you guys went to dinner. Some of the newer players suggested to drop the stud round, and play only HOE.
I left around 10:30, so I'm not sure what happened after that.

I did OK in the game overall, up a small amount . I'm gonna try to play again on Sat. the 27th. It was nice to meet & play against everyone.

I'd love to see it run as HOE, though I'd probably still play if it were still HOSE.

ONLY thing I can kinda complain about is that the dealers dropped several bad beat dollars on games that didn't warrant them... the table probably lost $20 until we finally "plugged the hole" to the bad beat for OSE but other then that the dealers were excellent!
Thanks to all that came to play Saturday! Hope to see you again next weekend. This game looks to grow and grow every week. Once again thanks for your support.

We sent a proto type plug to the CCC, should get approval by next weekend!

QFT!

I was the young kid who was losing all the money all the time .

It was fun meeting everyone, and even though everyone plays better than me (not hard) I'll be back again next week (and whenever I can) to relax and play.

Anyone who met me, feel free to say hi if you ever see me around.

Just got back from a weekend at the Borg.. Wish I could have stayed in the casino instead of West AC though!

Stan, I want to say it was great to meet and chat with you, you're totally awesome. It's too bad you were hiding somewhere when I left. Look forward to another awesome weekend sometime soon.

Just wanted to say that I didn't get a chance to get in the 4/8 HOSE game that I was looking forward to playing. By the time I was called on the list, I was knee deep in a SNG. Which I lost in 3rd. Grr.

The room was PACKED on saturday. The 400+50 survivor was awesome to watch, lots of excitement toward the chop. Even with a packed room and a million on the waiting lists, everything was handled smooth and professional, and everyone eventually got their seat in the game they wanted. I really have to endorse the borg poker room and stan for making it so great. By far the best room I've been in.

Gotta look into bussing it from NYC instead of schlepping from LI though. 2.5 hours stuck in traffic on the way back, now I'm heading to bed.

Edit!: The bad beat got really close to being won while I was there, one table away from me. Don't know the exact hand, but someone said it was quads vs. 4 to the SF, and just missed.

Someone in the tournament hit a BBJ hand. It took a while for them to find out that it didn't qualify. There was much excitement saturday night for sure!

Don't forget about the train. It looks like a good value:

I'm coming to AC this weekend. Taj throws me free room for the weekend, so I'll be staying there, but I'll make a trip over to play the 4/8 mixed. I hope to gather a mountain of white chips.

Are players still getting buffet coupons for playing this game?

Would a higher stakes HOSE game ever run? Like a pink chip HOSE? Or would that take away action from the 10/20 OE? I would def play in a pink chip HOSE

Was down this weekend and the room was booming. I love seeing all the woman playing poker.

However, I forgot to ask before I left it the Borg was running any satellites for the Heads Up double elim event and if so what are the details?

Thanks for any info.

Edit: I just saw that seating is limited to 64 players so the answer is likely no but if anyone has details I would still be interested.

The 4/8 HOSE was great on Saturday - really good players - helps improve my game - didnot improve my bankroll but at the same time did not hurt it. Sunday was a donk fest with 2 players learning and playing BINGO all the way to the river. Am looking forward to playing it every weekend throughout the summer. Stan really pushed for the game and got it going. For what it is worth my radom thoughts are as follows:

I like the 8 hand rotation better than the dealer rotation.
I perfer to keep in the Stud like we did this week but not last weekend. Not being a newbie to stud helps with why I like it. Althought since I lost twice to rolled up quads once on saturday to 4s and on Sunday with rolled js.
I am looking forward to Razz being added if Stan can get it approved.
I think 4/8 is the perfect limit maybe later in the day up it to 5/10. Since none of the poker tables/racks are set up for pink chip game and it is not something that would be regular I think keeping it where it is is great.
I will be there Saturday to be the "unofficial table captain" and keep track of the games we are on.

Made my first trip to the Borg and spent Saturday and part of Sunday in the poker room. I have to say, this is the best room in which I've ever played. (OK, I'll admit that my experience is quite limited compared to most here, but still, it's not even close.)

Never did meet Stan, as I was too anxious to get to the tables. David was cool, though, and was patient enough to come over and answer questions for not only me, but all of the other Borg newbies in the area. And I had no complaints about any of the dealers. Any issues that did come up were rectified quickly, and the only time the floor was called over was for someone calling time on another player. If I have to find one thing about which to complain, it would be the vents blowing right on table 18 made that table cold as, well, let's just say if was pretty damned cold. The other tables on which I played were not nearly so bad.

I didn't venture into the higher-priced eateries upstairs, but the cafeteria was fantastic, with a large variety and plenty of seating. Not to mention the terrific food.

Although I was handed a few lessons to go along with some seriously cold cards at times (QQ vs KK, KK vs AA, 2nd nut flush vs the nuts, etc, all within an hour), it was a great time. My hat is certainly off to Stan on running a great room. Since I don't get up to AC often, I can't say when I'll be back, but when I do come up again, I'll be playing at the Borg.

This is why! Everytime a floor person runs around a little bit and gets a little hot, they call to have the temp lowered and we all have to freeze. The temp was being changed every 30 minutes back and forth. I had to put a stop to it. I am trying to regulate the temp but it's not easy. Late at night when there are 20 or less games going the room gets cold and then during the day with 65 tables going the room warms up a bit. Give us some time to get it all sorted out.
