It would probably sound like a bunch of giggling little girls.

It might.

Okay. I apologize for comparing a table full of 2+2ers to a bunch of giggling little girls.
I would not want to insult a bunch of little girls.

What I'm trying to say that it's good to have diversity - a mix of ages and backgrounds - at the tables.
I threw a little joke in their too.

I didnt think SNG's were running w/ the BWO events going on, I guess thats what I get for assuming. I cant believe I left early on Friday evening and almost got smashed in the surface lot by the cranberry red Range Rover exiting the lot just to go home to my gf & shop for new furniture instead of staying in my true HAPPY PLACE

I lie to my gf all the time and tell her that she is my Happy Place, LMAO

Not many rooms can pull that off, Stan? I disagree. Only one room pulls it off and does it many times a year. Your room. Sounds like you and Tab did it again. Thanks for building a world class poker room. The Borgata Rocks!

What does the player pool in the 60/120 H.O. game look like? Any chance of spreading this at a somewhat lower limit, like 15/30? (I can certainly understand not wanting to intrude on the 10/20 or 20/40 games.)

I know it's late but I'm at the Taj and thinking of heading over. Game report? Anything fun going on? 5/10 pink chip sounds fun.

H/O 5/10 pink chip w two dedicated cocktail waiteresses? *looking around*

Just got back. Great time, sweet action!

Stan, thought you guys did an awesome job running the room.

Just got back as well. Obviously I was super frustrated when I was typing this, and in retrospect there is no way the room can be run perfectly when it's filled beyond capacity. No matter how well you run the room, somebody will always get the worst of service, and today I happened to be that someone. Anyway, Borgata made it up to me by hitting me with big pairs all night long, and I've left up quite a bit, so I'm not fuming anymore.

The 1/3 6max game seemed to run without interruptions once it was called. I loved playing it, as less players is better, but I could never shake the feeling that it's just not an optimal setup live. When you only have 6 players, the game can be made or broken by just one player. The dealers also seemed to grumble a lot about this game. I'd play it again if I have the chance, though.

Argh, wish that extra PLO 1/2 game opened up a bit earlier.. I was waiting a couple hours for the other table and right after I decide to give up.. it opens! Well it was my first time at the Borgata tonight, and other than not getting into the game I wanted, I was definately impressed.

Played in the 350+50 HOSE event and I've always loved the Borg but, I must admit that I was shocked by the ineptitude of the dealers when it came to spreading the split pot games. 4/5 dealers that got in the box admitted to not spreading them before, one person even said that he NEVER dealt omaha!

When heads-up, only one dealer knew to keep the bets in front of the players for easy chopping if necessary.

Overall, I had a blast... just surprised. I've always found the staff to be very competent in my previous trips.

I didn't cash but, got back almost my entire BI playing NLHE in the main room afterwards. 2p2 poster "yarbles" got 2nd place money in the second chance event and let me crash in his room.

Great action in the cash games and good structure in the tourney. Excellent stuff... just wish there was a 10/20 HOSE or something close to that being spread in the main room. 150/300 is nosebleed for little 'ol me.

Cheers

Oh yeah and I forgot a funny one from the tourney.. it was a stud round and the dealer peeled off three cards after 3rd street... as if he was gonna deal a flop! We all shouted "NOOOOOOOO" and stopped him. LOL

This i would have to agree that we need to attract more qualified dealers for the tournaments. This is whdy we did the 3% for the dealers. Next tournament when the wod gets out to the dealers that declined to come hopefully will reconsider.

I will say that they are trying real hard and please give them the opportunity to get better.

lol true man,

it kicked off around 4, after i started the list at Noon.. im pretty sure i was the only reg.. didnt recognize any of the other older players. The avg. age was probably 65. Me being the youngest at 23.. the game was still running strong when i left at 9ish, how much longer it went i have no clue.

Hey guys, once again another one of my ideas has been realized! Last night at the Borgata I noticed three different limits offering 6-max NLH! I was laughed off this thread when I posted that a while back. I also mentioned the pink-chip game about a year ago! In all honesty I think Stan is the one who really deserves the credit for taking shots like this and listening to the people who play. Great job Stan, keep up the good work!

I just had a real bad experience w/the staff at another AC poker room this weekend and i have to give the Borgata staff alot of credit. The place is a zoo right now and everyone including their upper mgmt (Stan) is actually out there calling games flagging down the players( i saw him get the tables going for the 5/10 limit, and all the 6max games)

Ive played at all the poker rooms in vegas, CT, and most of the ones in AC, and the borgata is very far ahead of all of them (I havent played in LA yet)

btw the best game at the Borgata this weekend had to be the 2/5 plo....
