Nice! Can't wait!

I find it worrisome!
The key to happiness is LOW expectations! ;-)

The actual tournament should be fine. But the rest of it (overpriced rooms, restaurant closures etc) will still be an issue

This weekend got called for a seat, went up to the front desk, 4 other people waiting, and it took 15 minutes before they were able to swipe me in and send me to my seat. Two people responsible for putting new players on the list, swiping players in from the list to their tables, taking call ins, and responding to any walkie talkie requests from the floors is obviously dumb.

But got me thinking, maybe Borgata hasn't gone far in enough in their new policy. Idk if Bravo has this functionality, but if they could swipe you in when you get on the list and hold you in a queue, then when you're called just put you in at the table and announce you have 2 minutes to take the seat, have the dealer take them out after that, the whole system might actually work the way it was intended.

Other than Bravo functionality or management just not being open to it, any other things I'm not considering that would make this dumb?

I like this except there should be some way to yell "lock it up" and have the floor lock it up. Imagine you are playing 1 3 next to the check-in desk and are called for 2 5, while you are currently in the hand. It might be impossible to finish the hand, rack up your chips and then make it all the way to the 2 5 section within 2 minutes.

sounds good in theory but dealers will 100% not pay enough attention to take people out after 2 min which would result in a bunch of ghost filled seats

might somewhat work for low limit NL since there's a bunch of tables and a constant influx of players, but imagine PLO 15 player waitlist with 10 of them not in the room anymore or playing other games

clocking them in automatically will clock them out at whatever table they are in at the moment, so the podium will think there's an empty seat and will clock in the next person on the waitlist - would be a total shitshow

Supposedly, starting today 2/2 plo is getting rid of the must move and going 8 handed. I was there over the weekend and can't confirm if this actually happened.

Still no tier credits for July's poker hours ... wonder what's taking so long?

This is just the old system, which I agree is better, I was just pondering on how it could be improved while still staying in line with managements strategy of having everything done more automate through Bravo.

I think the players at the table would do a good job of reminding the dealer 2 minutes has passed, in the 2/5 games at least everyone is very quick to point out when we have an open seat. But the getting signed out on current game is a good point, Idk how the system could work around that issue.

Hopefully the 8 handed thing is true.
There's one crusty old plo reg there who has to scream for the floor within 2 seconds of a seat being open. He can't be happy with 8 handed.

What is the most efficient way to use my comp day stays? It looks like I get 2 day chunks and they'll give me every day in September, but once I go over 2 days it tries to charge me a rate. Can I use multiple comp stays on a stay? Can I use the comp days only for the expensive days and pay for the cheap ones? What's the best way to do this?

Id **** around with the calendar. Book the expensive 2 days stay and then see what happens to the rates around those days or call up and see what they tell you over the phone.

Sometimes once you add a booking to cart, it blocks comps on any other day, so you have to fully book it, go back and book the next stay. Sometimes it works where you can put a booking in cart, exit, then add a new one to cart and book, but not always.

Beware of them young scholars walking around AC

https://wpgtalkradio.com/5-teens-cha...ity-nj-casino/

Five teenagers, none older than 15, have been charged in connection to an armed robbery at an Atlantic City casino last week.

The Atlantic City Police Department says just after 8 PM on Friday, August 9th, their officers were called to the Tropicana after a victim was approached by five men, one of which had a large knife. That knife was held to the victim's back as they demanded his belongings.

After Tropicana security officers were able to obtain video surveillance of the suspects, ACPD officers found three of them on the first block of South Texas Avenue, where they were apprehended after fleeing.

While Borgata has enacted their new “go back to the front and swipe in” when you’re called for a seat process, Parx now lets you use Bravo to get on the list instead of calling in.

Now that I’m positive Bravo has the functionality to seat people not just better than the new protocol, but better than it was being done before, it’s frustrating that they’ll continue doing it so stupidly lol

Not that MGM couldn't and wouldn't come up with a player-unfriendly process on their own...

But maybe some regs had some sessions that weren't swiped in correctly by the dealers (or were otherwise a nuisance about swipe-ins) and taking the process off the table (thus inconveniencing said regs even more) is the solution?

Not that I'm in favor of inconveniencing players, of course, but sticking it to the whiniest (and they're usually also the rudest) has to have its appeal. (Especially if you're always going to choose the least player-friendly option.)

I think this just falls under the borgata poker room's "do the dumbest **** possible" policy.

The answer I got 2 weeks ago from a dealer and confirmed by a floor person while they were opening a new game was that they were tired of players arguing over seats….

I agree, it’s dumb

Main casino cage is going to be closing for an undetermined amount of time soon, everyone and their grandmothers will be cashing out at the poker room cage. They even took out some of the poker tables in front of the cage to accommodate the lines. Another great idea by borgata execs.
