Going to play a black chip bounty @ Borgata on Wednesday? Is the registration in the poker room or main cage and does the tournament itself take place in the poker room?

Registration (at least when I did it a few weeks back) is in poker room, and tournament played in poker room.

do the poker comp expires if u dont put it in my main balance and let your comp ride?

I would hope it's the same as normal...six months of no play for blue cards, a year for higher cards.

Good question! Let's find out. My inclination is that 20-30% of players don't even know to move then over. They go to use them, check out, whatever and figure they miscounted whatever and move along. Just another mechanism for MGM to help their bottom line.

The whole "oh we wish it wasn't this way, and it'll be fixed soon... Yawn... I don't blame the poker team but they sure as hell aren't fixing it. Heck I bet it helps their month revenue figures.



The salad place is fine besides being 125x mark up. Trying to correlate what made you sick is usually an exercise in futility and never a cause and effect like that. I eat there maybe 2-3 times a month without issue.

Is any news if Borgata Poker Series are coming back soon ?

No, but my guess is Jan-february 2022. Wednesday at the tourney there was a quads over quads situation, everybody at that table started screaming lol.

My guess is at least Spring 2022. I feel it will depend on how we respond to this latest Covid winter surge and this new variant originating from South Africa. I hope we get to see a series soon.

I was in Las Vegas during WSOP. I saw WSOP successfully managed to run almost 2 months long tournament averaging 5K to 10 k runners everyday !
Borgata and other regional series (Parx etc) will be 1/5th or 1/10th in attendance. Why can’t they learn from WSOP? Or is the state ?

For a wpt or major series I agree. For a borgata one maybe earlier. Only time will tell

i spoke to a floor last weekend when i was there who said the poker comps are stored in Bravo and do not expire. Once you transfer them to your main account the 6 month clock starts

I'm thinking of driving down this Saturday. I always liked Borgata better than Parx, even though it's 40 minutes farther. How's the room for 1/3? and Can you still call ahead to get on the list/anyone have the number?

BTW..I just wanted to eat something real quick and I ended up getting a pizza and bottle of Pepsi without knowing how much. It was almost $22.

Lesson learned..please do not make the mistake I made. After I ordered it, I realized the Asian spot to the left would have been quicker and cheaper but oh well

Yes 5/10 will only run Fri-Sun. Even then it’s hard to get a seat, the regulars never leave the table. On weekdays you’ll see a waitlist but most are no shows when called by floor.

Oh and when the 5/10 is running, you’ll need to be vigilant on open seats. On a few occasions I’ve waited 20-30 mins while there’s a spot open.

i'm very picky with pizza and even I think that pizza is good.
that asian place is terrible so you dodged a bullet.

I've had some bad Chinese food in my life, and I have never had more flavorless lo mein than the downstairs spot at Borgata lol

Pizza place is the way to go, just don’t order the soda

The Asian spot is only good for general tso chicken. Everything else is horrible, even an egg roll. And the Mexican place is even worse. The burgers are good there or the sandwiches up front.

I actually had a Philly cheesesteak from the sandwich place this past weekend for the first time and it actually was pretty good. And I usually don’t eat from the Marketplace other than getting some snacks.

That's the only spot I haven't been to but I asked my friend about it a while back and he said it wasn't good, maybe because he goes to white houses a lot but that's good there's another quick option down there.
