yeah I mean you rarely see someone threaten someone at a blackjack or craps table, but we've all seen it in poker. There should always be a couple of security guards in the poker room...

Registration line about 30 people deep right now, could be a decent turnout for the first Wednesday tournament

I think we’re talking about the same section, those machines looked extremely
Old and outdated

And damn 175 entries I should’ve woke up earlier and went today that’s impressive

Yes that's them.

FYI, I believe the tourney ended around 7:30. I didn't play it, but I walked by it at around 7:15 and they were at the final table. The next time I looked up at around 7:45 it was over. I have no idea if they chopped or played to a winner.

You happen to know what 1st place paid? I’m gonna try to catch one of the tourneys soon

I was hoping they would get around 200, 175 isn't bad at all. Sounds like a chop at the end but would be curious about the original pay outs.

I plan to make a trip next week and play, been fiending for a live torny since Jan 2020. Will keep thread posted on the numbers than

It was around 12k.

I was kicking myself for getting there so late and missing it.

Are 2/5 games still 8 handed with regular rake or are they back to time rake?

Yea but I don't think they're ever going back to time on 2/5 and below.

I performed an experiment & played appx 9 hours of 2-5 last Saturday but my room rates are still very high! I've read that others have different experiences. Am I missing something or does Borgata just hate me? ;-)

The problem is they don't update the tier points every day, so the booking systemight not know you played that yet.

Well, TCs were never updated every day.

But the effects of play on offers weren't usually immediate, either, and the best offers came after multiple sessions. It's looking at your daily average, and it's a loyalty system, so it wants to see some loyalty.

Plus we haven't yet seen any confirmation ITT that anything we knew before still applies.

Sorry should have asked this in my post above. I'm usually in NJ sep/early oct. In 2019 I found the 2/5 games even towards the tail end of the series to be reg infested and not great during the week. And because of this I often found myself trying to find a deepstacked 1/2 at Harrah's or Bally's (yuck). Has Borg changing the game to a 1/3 and cap to $400 had any better impact on the game there? I may need a waiting or viable option during certain weekdays/peek times If the 2/5 games appear to be trash.

The key during the week is to use the table change option. If you're at a bad table, move around to another one. There are still good games on weekdays (I play 2/5 so can't really comment on weekday 1/3 games) and the regs there are the easiest players to read and most of them aren't winning players I can assure you.

Everything he said about 2/5 is true for 1/3 as well.

In the tourney today there's 138 entries with about 10 minutes left to register and over $14k for first. I have to leave at 5 today so I didn't play but I can't wait for Wednesday.

Blast at video poker at $5 - $25 a spin - they have very good ROI as they have 9/6 JoB and a 99.68% ROI game at the b bar - forgot what it was called. I blasted for a few hours and I got 2 days a week. I hardly lost anything thing ether, but if you have a lousy stretch of variance you could get rekt. But if you hit that Royal flush - you're gonna win like 20k.

Can someone please refresh me on the self parking. From what I remember, $5 will enable me one additional parking pass to any casino lot within 24 hours of my first initial exit?

If your card is pearl and above you don't have to pay but yes if you leave you can get a transfer but I don't know how that works since other casinos are $10 + maybe you get a $5 discount.

I'm you pay for parking at a casino in AC keep your receipt as you will be able to use it one time for another casino parking fee. The receipt is good until the following 6:00AM.

I played a couple of long sessions (a couple of weeks ago - my first visit back since everything went sideways) and noticed that my comp $ hadn't changed after my play. The other players at the table said that we were still getting rakeback so I went on a hunt (Monday morning before leaving) to see what the deal was. The MLife rewards desk by the front door said they "can't see" poker play but I should go to the poker room to get an answer. I went to the desk at the back of the room and the floor person looked up my hours and then gave me credit for the time played. He said the system wouldn't auto-credit like it used to and we need to go to the desk to have the hours added to our balance. He said this was the "compromise" bc the new owners didn't want to credit poker at all.

Sorry if y'all knew this already.
