I like 8 or even 9 better, 10 could get cramped at times, especially in middle seats

I’m fine with 8-10, 9 is perfect. It was 10 max for 1/2 NL and 2/5 NL prior to Covid. I really don’t expect Borgata to bring back 1/2 NL and $5 time rake for the 2/5 NL games since they are making more money from the pot rake instead.

Heard Stan ran the Isle Poker Room into the ground by making their 5/10 and 10/25 games private, and is now withering away in some dumpy upstate New York casino called Del Lago. I'd call that a fall from grace, no?

Del Lago now charges 10+3 rake so it sure looks like he's the worst poker room manager in the country if he's still there.

I didn't play it, but I saw the board after registration was closed. It was something in the 120s

Also, did anyone see the ruckus that went on around 11:30pm? I was in the middle of it and got a 24 hour ban for screaming to get security's attention that a guy was coming around the table to attack me.

There usually isn’t security close to the poker tables you must have been screaming pretty loud

woah are you ok, why was someone going to attack you

also, how long did it take for security to come. always wondered why there isn't more security in the poker room. To me, that would be where you would have the most issues since players are against each and not the house and you can taunt people etc.

Yeah, I'm fine. It had been going on for hours. He was being insulting to everyone at the table, not just talking about play but just general insults to players and dealers. He also took about 10 different angle shots and slow rolled every single hand he won.

Finally I lost it and told him to stfu. He was in seat 7 and I was in seat 2. And he got up yelling "What the F did you say to me" and started walking around the table.
I'm in my 50's and not in the best of shape. He was in his 20s and when He got up and my first thought was "Damn, how did I not realize how ripped he was" lol. He got permabanned and I got 24 hours.

Security and a floor got between us before he got to me.

Glad you didn’t get hit or hurt.

Getting perma-banned for fighting or threatening someone in the Borg poker room is an urban legend. He’ll be back before you know it. Maybe today.

Security took him out first. They told me to wait until they had him in the office to do the permanent ban paperwork before I left.

Plus once security got there he stood in the middle of the room screaming and cursing for a solid 5 minutes before he left... Called the female floor a "B" and a female security guard a "c"

He won't be back.

A player went after two players in my game and threatened to hit them with a beer bottle. It took 6 security guards to get him away and out of the room. He was perma-banned that night and was back playing at 10:00 the next morning after the poker director got him back in.

He got in many more fights before any type of ban was imposed. And then he still was welcomed back after a year or so.

You don’t get perma-banned from Borg’s poker room unless you steal from the house

If any of you are also Video Poker degens, they took out the 1 row of 9/6 machines closest to the poker room.

I didn't check if they changed the ones at the bar or on the other side of the floor.

It's not really a good idea for an out of shape 50 something guy telling a ripped guy in his 20's "what the F did you just say to me?" if they're only rebuttal is to run away screaming for help Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, NJ) -- FAQ in OP, updated 2021.08.16Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, NJ) -- FAQ in OP, updated 2021.08.16

Where were those? I haven't found close ones since they took them from the smoking area (the row next to Wolfgang's moved further into the section and then left completely in 2019). Were they in the non-upright ones beyond the aisle (toward the back of B Bar as you go from Wolfgang's)?

He didn’t. That was the 20 something response to the 50yo saying STFU.

Different ones. I had played on them last week.

They were across the aisle from the candy bar machines.

I’m not even sure which candy bar machines you’re referring to.

It's a slot machine, not a vending machine.

Go out of the poker room to the left, walk just past the slot smoking area on your left and there was 1 row of 9/6 VP machines on the left that is now gone.
