Has anyone seen their Tier Credits increase lately ? I don't think mine have gone up for some time even though I've been putting in some hours at the table.

I’m almost positive we don’t get tier points anymore for poker. I went to poker desk yesterday to have my comps moved and I got $56 comp dollars and zero tier credits. They had no answer for it.

My tier credits have been showing up automatically 24-48 hours after each session.

Anyone able to confirm how long we have to use Express Comps once we move them over? Is it like 24 hours or is it 6 months+? Also, if I move them over at Borgata, can I use them in Vegas, or do I need to wait to move them until I'm out there?

As long as you use/earn comps every 6 months (12 months for higher card level), they don't expire. Otherwise they expire in 6 months (or 12 for higher cards). The express comps are no longer specific to just Borgata. You can use them at any MGM property.

My tiers increased a few times over the past few weeks fwiw. I never noticed a fixed time frame, they were all totally random.

Is it just me, or does Borgata not have a live game report on the website?

Borgata has changed its high hand promo. The changes are as follows:

The First Hand, Fast Cash promo will continue to reset at 10:00 AM daily. Hands that were awarded the previous day will be reset to $250. Hands that weren't hit the previous day will have $250 added to the prize. Now, hands that were hit before 8:00 PM will be reset to $250 starting at 8:00 PM. Hands that weren't hit before 8:00 PM will not have their amounts changed. The promo will run 24 hours instead of the previous 12 hours.

I'd rather they didn't take the dollar out of the pot. At least now, those playing after 10 PM have a better chance of getting some of their money back compared to others who don't (the dollar came out of the pot 24 hours). I also think it might increase their revenue from rake for those who might have avoided playing during non-promo hours.

Wow so they actually made a good change for once. If I’m reading it correct the promo is 24/7 now instead of being 10-10? It will help prevent certain hands from being a very high price but it will still happen regardless I think

Yeah, 24/7 and hands that hit before 8pm get a second $250 shot after 8pm.

I think I like it. If you're taking the drop all the time, have a chance to pay out all the time. One of the reasons I stopped going to Showboat was they started taking the second dollar to fund slow-time promos. If I only go on Saturdays, why should I pay extra so you can pay it out on Tuesdays? (Borg, happily, is still only taking $1, but still I'm in favor of the promos from it running in primetime.)

Now I just have to get back someday...

The only problem which may arise is that supposed 10 minute time limit to cash your high hand bonus at 3am. This means the main cage will be the only one open and that alone might create issues

The fine print on the promotions page says 60 minutes to claim at the cage.

Is this promo not paid in chips like the regular high hand? ("...to claim at the cage" is standard in the HH fine print.)

It’s paid in cash and you have to give your social in order to claim it. A few pages back someone was saying 10 minutes and there was an incident when someone didn’t claim it in time or didn’t have their ID or something

Any method to borgatas madness with comps? For whatever reason, I got comped this past weekened & also booked up for labor day weekend & a weekend in november. Ive had sunday - thurs comps before, but never for a holiday weekend. Either way im glad I took advantage because room rates are bavk to their typical madness

Check randomly and as soon as comps pop up book them. I had friday-Wednesday comped and some days September. Now not showing anything comped

Is there a trick or secret on when to check them? Every time I've checked whether I'm logged in to mlife or not, it doesn't matter as the rates seem to be the same! I've tried both ways and never noticed a difference and literally one time I saw some weekday comp rooms about a month or so ago but nothing since! I've had a decent amount of play the past few months too.

Borgata/MGM offers seem really out of whack. I played once this year in June (~20 ECs) and pretty good offers afterwards - including comped rooms on a handful of summer weekends. Cancelled the one weekend I had and now I'm back to no discounts at all. I'm also getting offers for comped flights from Allentown to Atlantic City, even though they have my address and driving directly to Borgata takes only 15 minutes longer. Was never a high roller before but averaged 15-25 ECs/day playing pre-pandemic poker/table games.

To my knowledge purely random gotta check it daily or even hourly

Yeah it's bleak but if people will pay it why would they change anything?

I usually sleep at Harrah's when in AC as I have enough CET points the room rates make the $10 cab ride each way irrelevant in the price differential.

I read something online the other day that showed recent occupancy rates of the AC casinos. Most were ~70/75% but Borgata was 49%. I guess it has something to do with the labor shortage but maybe Borgata just figures they can charge higher for less occupancy and make pretty much the same money. Can't find the article again else I'd include a link.
This might explain why comp rooms are scarce.

I have to wonder if that's 49% of total rooms, not 49% of the rooms they're actually considering available, if the Water Club is still largely closed.
