played at taj for the first time and lost.... didn't really like that place. was playing 1/2 nl and the game was very tight passive, didn't get a hand worth playing in 2 hours. Cashed out what was left of my buy in and went to the borgata.

I play 2/5 and higher and used to get comped rooms any day of the week pre COVID, including holiday weekends. I lost the room comps over COVID. I put in a single 15 hour session at 2/5 at the end of May. Had the shift manager transfer over my comps. Got $30 in comps so it registered the right amount of hours. I’m still not getting any room offers. Does Borgata still not have a poker host since they let the last one go? I’ll be playing at the CT casinos until my room comps come back.

I’m a regular 2/5 player and have consistently played in weekends since November 2020. I checked the MGM app just now, and don’t see any comp rooms anymore (still saw comp rooms this morning). Does anyone still see any comp rooms?

For those in the NYC area like myself who play 5/10, there are not a lot of options. The only place that consistently has it is Parx (10/10). Wind Creek if/when they reopen will be another option. Catskills does not have it consistently I don't think.

I’ve noticed the room comps fluctuate wildy. From all comped, to all $100+ then back to comped. Now I am seeing all non comped again but luckily did book a few rooms while offers were still out.

I did not play in between so ai’m guessing its something else with the system.

It used to be based on average daily play over a rolling 6 month period. Average $15+ comps per day you’re there and you’d get free rooms whenever. I have history going back years playing 2/5 and 5/10 with the occasional 10/25. Only break in play was COVID and I lost all room comps. I’m not going out of my way to get the comped rooms back. If Borg wants me back, they need to fix their ish. I’m already getting comped rooms in CT after a handful of sessions.

I just checked my own account and saw that I no longer have comped rooms offers at all ( I used to normally get comped rooms for Sundays through Thursdays, most Fridays and some random Saturdays). That sucks. I was hoping to put in some long sessions at Borgata but it’s hard to do that without a comped room to stay over.

I am comped weekdays and some Fridays in the summer. I agree with the above, although without taking a full day off, the trip Friday night from NYC takes a long time when there is Jersey shore traffic, so I don't even know if it is worth it to sit in that traffic and sleep over Friday night.

Without the NY players, you will more likely play the local pros that live in Brigantine and surrounding areas in the higher games.

There comes a point where it is more worth it to take an airplane to Florida/Vegas/California and play than to put up with all the wait times and nonsense here (I know, there is waiting everywhere...).

to add to the chorus above, all my comped rooms disappeared over the covid year, and now weekend rooms are 300-500 or more. You can ****ing forget about that ever happening. I'll just take my business elsewhere, or do something else.

(Or, possibly, I will eventually get around to seeing if one of my buddies who gets weekend offers will throw me a room, and hope that a weekend of play will get things back straightened out. Though from the sounds of the above, it won't.)

Also not able to login.

Was planning on trying to get back down regularly starting in July, like everyone else it seems I no longer get comps. Plan was to hit the motels for a month or so and hope the comps come back with 25hr/weekend of 2/5, 3 weekends a month. Now it looks like the motels are even 2-4X what they were when I was doing that in 2019. So sick lol
