Did you get your comps directly on your card without having to go to the desk?

Someone earlier said that MGM rooms in Vegas do it that way also? Can someone verify? I've always stayed at Caesars but I have a room booked for Aria and if they don't add the comps directly to the card I might change it.

My comps showed up on my card yesterday from last weekend and I never went to the desk. I played yesterday 10 hours and nothing new showed up. The desk can't transfer points to your card, all they can do is give you a paper comp (Borgata, don't know about other properties)

That's weird. Have you received any tier credits from last weekends play ?

I'm almost certain they didn't go up, but I won't know for sure until it's updated again. My 20 hrs of play this weekend so far hasn't changed my comp dollars as of yet.

Not sure anybody will know the answer to this, but figured it’s worth asking. Does the casino day still start/end at 6:00 am under the new MGM system?

I asked last time I was there. Yes, it does. I always clock out at like 5:55 to be safe lol

Weird, just checked, and I had a bunch of Express comps show up on my card within the last few days. I hadn't played since April 29

Possibly Express Comps are now like Tier Credits used to be: they have to be dumped from the poker system to the main system manually, and that's not done often or on a set schedule.

(I'm speculating here. But the variable sluggishness of TCs in the past suggested a low-priority, non-automatic process.)

Maybe that's what they're doing, they dumped it after 5 days my last trip and so far this weekend I played 29 hrs and not a penny in my acct. Whatever their new system is I don't really care I don't play for comps and if I have to wait a week or even two weeks to get my money that's fine. But what tilts me is no one know anything. Everyone gives a different answer. For example when i check in, I used to be able to tell the clerk to auto settle with my comps at checkout. On Friday she said they're not able to do that anymore and I need to select it some where online. I never saw anywhere to do that, and when I was scheduled to check out, I saw an auto comp settlement posted to my acc't. At least it saved me 30 min+ on the phone in the morning (worst c/s and longest waits in gaming).

For anyone looking for it, log in to your M Life account in the Borgata website, go to your account, go to preferences, and there will be an option to set your account to use comps at checkout by default.

I am going to be at Borgata Thursday/Sunday. I will try to ask the poker room manager how the Express Comps and the Tier Credits are being handled and will post what I hear from him.

This is just their way of saving
A few million dollars in comps
Because many people won't
Be back before they expire.
I sent a watch to be repaired
In France and it came back
In 2 days via UPS. I bought
A book from Louisiana and
After 8 days it is in Tennessee
Via USPS. POker players
Have been downgraded from
Express UPS to pack mule
Delivered comps

Highlights of my last night's trip to Borgata.
1. Over 40 min on hold to make a room reservation - ended up using my wife's card (she was logged in to her on account on her phone).
2. One cashier window open at 1 am for the entire casino - ended up bringing home a few racks of chips (humble brag).
3. Bravo was down and they were writing names using pen and paper - ended up getting a seat right the way cause nobody was waiting for the game in the room.
4. Room service didn't pick up the phone from 6:30 to 7:30 - ended up getting shitty coffee at the gas station.
WTF Borgata????? I didn't know that MGM magically turns the best casino on the East coast into Taj!!!

P.S I lost all the free rooms. Even on the weekdays. Parx is 50 miles closer to my house and always has great games. If I have to pay for rooms i just can't justify playing at the B anymore unless i am travelling with the family.

I am not saying Borgata has great games (the 5/10 NL game that I used to play there is not good), but I played in the Parx 10/10 game on Tuesday, and after a two hour wait, people will come and sit and play, and in half an hour get up and leave (there were no table transfers allowed). We also had a lot of walkers (we were three handed at one point). It must have not been a great game...That I was in it did not help matters...

Here is what I was told about express comps $ and tier credits:

The amount of express comp $ you earn is the same as before the change over, for example, 1/3 now gets $1.50 @ hour, the same as what 1/2 used to get.
The amount of tier credits is also the same as pre change over, 1/3 gets 112.5 tier credits @ hour, again the same as what 1/2 used to get.

Express comp $ and tier credits both are being processed in batches and then rolled into your MGM account. So if you play today there will be a lag between when you earn them and when you see them in your account. Based on what people are seeing the express comp $ are being processed faster than tier credits.

Imo, This isn't as bad as it could have been, actually there is no change in the way tier credits are being handled. I don't like waiting for the comp $ but again it could be worse.

It could be worse,
They can raise the rake,
From $4 plus $1 to
$5 plus $1

Thanks. This is very helpful. Just to clarify, for the comp $, although delayed , it will eventually roll into my MGM account to be used how I want them to be used? I do not want to go to a desk at the end of my session just to get a paper food comp voucher.

Yes, that's what I was told. Your comp $ will roll into your MGM account, the same way the Tier credits have been handled in the past.
