I don't think anybody really knows what's happening with the changeover but Tier Credits always took a while to show up on your account. Comp dollars showed up right away but I'm afraid that is what's changing. Probably need to ask the Poker Room Manager.

Yeah, that would be annoying, since I'm leaving in a few and won't return there before heading back home

The new Bravo format is kinda weird. I guess it's a +++ rating of how high the stakes are but they use a lot more shorthand to describe the games.

This was on Borgata's FAQs:

The process of receiving Express Comps™ for poker play is changing temporarily. Express Comps™ earned by playing poker in the Borgata Poker Room will not be automatically loaded to your M life Rewards card. Starting April 28, 2021, to have your earned poker Express Comps™ added to your account, please visit the shift manager podium in the poker room at the completion of your session.

Someone at the shift manager podium might know what's going on.

I just called the poker room since I'm home in the city now, and the person I spoke to claimed that that is not their policy and that it is automatically credited to your card at the end of your session and that I was mistaken when I saw zero comp dollars added to my balance when I just checked LOL.

I reread the policy above this post to him and he said that that is not the case and that I was mistaken. That the next time I'm there, I should talk to the desk and get them to add it to my card if I was, indeed, right about what's literally in front of my face Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa (Atlantic City, NJ) -- FAQ in OP, updated 2021.08.16

He said the money we get doesn't change, and we don't have to load our cards after each session - our points stay in bravo but when we wanna use it we have to go to the shift podium to print out a comp and we can't get one printed out anywhere else on the property.

This is how they do it at MDL it was a pain in the ass bc I hadda tell them the restaurant name and the amount I wanted to get printed out. Idk if that's how it's gonna be here but he said it should get back to normal by Sept.

Let's hope it gets back to normal...
I have a gold card earned almost all by playing poker and I use my comp $ to go to Amphora. Wonder if they'll accept a printed out comp at Amphora.

same here, and I also use comps for the junk fees they add to the rooms, so I wonder if I would still be able to do that on checkout or if I still have to go to the poker room to print that out also. The mgr didn't know.

Also, most of the casino floor is closed and blocked off. I tried to cut through the casino from the main tower to go to the poker room but when I was almost there I had to go all the way back where I started from and go around the perimeter. The few table games they had open were also ropped off. It looked like they had techs going to each machine to open it up and reprogram it.

i'd be shocked if it ever went back to normal. all of their other properties use this antiquated moronic system- why would they switch borg's to that just to switch it back?

My session Thursday night was my first this year. I'm noticing I have 0 tier credits after the session, as well. Is part of the change now not giving tier credits for poker play? I know it has been mentioned ITT that is how they do it at their other properties, as well.

All around shitty, if that's the case. I can probably tier match between CET and MGM in perpetuity so it doesn't really affect me, I just feel bad for other people who can't do that.

I guess we don't know for sure if there is a change in policy for tier credits (I hope not) but in the past it always took a while for them to show on your account.

yeah seems like my first trip back is going to be my last for the foreseeable future, will come to say hello, burn my comp balance and split

don't feel like dealing with this nonsense when I can save an hour round trip by going to Parx

We can no longer use comps for resort fees or room service (or any part of a room charge) as it's now totally separate from the rest of the casino. The rewards desk can't even see our comps or play. I wasted over an hour this morning getting the run around trying to pay for my resort fees for 2 nites and a couple burgers I ordered in my room which started on the phone, then stopped at the front desk who sent me to the rewards desk who sent me back to the shift desk in poker. No one had any idea. There are no options for poker to transfer points out of bravo into express comps besides printing out a restaurant comp.

I wonder if they're even gonna continue giving out room comps if they can't even see our play anymore since it now stays locked away discretely in bravo.

They seem to think they can change it to the way they do it down in MD but they're gonna fail big time because there are other rooms in AC, both with 8 player games (Harrahs which has been packed since the change over and Trop opens in 2 wks, also with 8 player tables).

NYC area poker players aren't going to make the trip if they can't get comped rooms. There are closer, more convenient options for us already, with more expected to be in the pipeline in a few years.

Thanks to everyone who posted with warnings about the new system. Who needs the hassle? I cancelled my reservation for next weekend.

They couldn't before, either. A few years ago I was trying to chase down TCs that were very sluggish showing up, and the rewards desk couldn't see anything to even tell there was a problem. The poker system might be more separate now, but it was already separate.
