You get a 10K point bonus if you spend $1,000 in the first three months. Some purchases get you more than a point per dollar but you'll have at least 11,000 points, after the bonus, at your disposal.

You then need to have someone at the casino redeem the points for comps and I assume ratio is 100 points to a dollar at Borgata like other MGM properties. So unless Borgata has a less favorable ratio, it's the equivalent of $110 in Express Comps, which would cover almost 9 Amphora trips.

Edit: here's a closeup, everyone be careful!

Edit2: there's actually a 2p2 thread on this chipset, looks really cool imo

Yes these are the exact ones. The memo that was sent out to all dealers specifically said the chips say "boardwalk" on them, not borgata

I'm almost positive there's no rfid on the oversize chips. There's no scanner at the cashier. The only thing they track are mustards (20k) and those have a serial number etched into them.

I logged into MLife and looked at my tier credits prior to a 6 hour session.

Got home and checked after I finished playing; no dice.

A day later, no change.

Was playing 2-5 PLO so I'm a little surprised to see no uptick in my count.

Yeah, I've been watching for it all week after I played 12 hours Saturday into Sunday. Nothing yet.

There it goes...updated since that post earlier. +1350 for 12 hours of 1/2NL, which is indeed 12 x 112.5.

Is it 75 TC per comp dollar all the way up? Anybody at 2/5 or higher have sure numbers they'll share?

Do you know how the points work? They say they can be transferred to slot dollars or comps, but how many for how much?

Poster above says it's 100 points for a comp dollar elsewhere.

No points for poker, though, only slots.

Not tier credits.... sometimes I play slots. Says you can get them redeemed same day, but that didn't happen. Got 100+ points wtf do I do with them?

Played Borgata many times, but never the played the Opens. Thinking of going down tomorrow for the Deeper Stack. Don't want to look like a rube. They play in a different room, right? Is registration at the regular window? And is the other room usually freezing cold, burning hot, or fairly normal? Any other thoughts or tips are appreciated. Thanks!

Do not worry about looking like a "rube." A lot of people have questions. Most of the tournaments in the Summer Open series are being held in the Signature room, around the corner from the poker room.

I have not been there in a while. I would plan for the temperature to be cool.

I expect that tournament registration is not in the poker room. I do not know how to explain the location. It is outside, but nearby, the poker room.

If you ever have a question, just ask one of the employees - just inside the Signature room would be a good start. A lot of people ask questions.

I remember under the old Borgata comp system, you used to received zero comps on slots or VP until you had earned at least $5 in comps. Is this still true? If so, do you also receive zero TC's until you've earned $5 in comps?

If you walk in the entrance by the poker room, poker room is on the right, Signature room is on your left. Bunch of slot machines in the middle. I would bring a light zippered sweat jacket.

BTW, if you like Burgers, go to Wolfgang's, you can get them to go also. Best Burgers I have ever had. Anyone else here tried them?

Wife wants to go and we've never eaten there before.

Thanks, Alan

Haven't come across anything on the menu that I didn't like. My personal favorite is curry chicken.

I think this is flipped; the poker room and racebook should be on your left if you come in through the entrance from surface parking/beer garden.

Right, I think I was looking in the mirror when I wrote that.

I used to be a regular black card at Borgata years ago, but have mostly been out of the area for the last few years and haven't gone to AC at all. I think avg rates before getting comped for me were around 160 a night for weekends, now the average rate for a weekend night for a few months out seems to be $259. Have the rates really gone up this much? That is pricier than Vegas when all I hear is that AC is dying.

Rates for summer weekends will be the highest all year. $259 rack is probably a good rate.

I used to be a huge fan of the Wolfgang's burger. Last time I got the burger, it was disappointng, smaller, new bun. Service was terrible. I'd rather go to Metro for a burger now.

Beef tendon soup is legendary.

Short ribs rock.

Any noodle soup that looks appealing, should be great.
