In fairness to you, I will say:

1. They changed the rule recently about taking chips back on a mistake, and then promptly changed it back. People can now take chips back on gross misunderstanding. Because of the rule changes back-to-back, lots of people are confused about this.

2. I only play cash, and they have more experienced dealers on cash games. The blue-shirts typically on tourneys are less experienced and make mistakes.

I would still remain optimistic about Borg. For all we know, MGM will clean house top-down in 2017. You also still can't beat it in AC, even if they poked you with a pin every 45 minutes while you played. Plus I just received my $50 comp bonus for playing enough hours last month. Try to beat that in any other poker room.

I have been guilty of calling in the SB when there was a rase, usually because there was no verbal rase, and the dealer did not say anything, until I put my chips in for a call, the few times I didn't want to call the rase I had no problem getting my chips back.

And yes the blue shirts are terrible, but I always think if I was a new dealer could I make the same mistake? Everyone has to learn. But if they keep making the same mistake, time to get rid of them, or get them more training.

I hope someone from MGM is reading these posts.

LOL. Uhhh it's called rakeback, which every other casino has. In cold hard cash, you can keep your comps. Rather have the cash.

To anyone that thinks this place is gonna get better, you are sadly mistaken. As pokertrench has continually said, the end is near and it was good while it lasted. Unless the top dogs of the room are let go anytime soon, borg is nearing the end IMO.

For all the whining here I have yet to hear that any other room in AC is better. Or has better dealers or floor people.

I do agree though that when Stan was here it was a much better room.

Again I hope someone from MGM is paying attention to this.

lol at getting shorted $100 at the cage, I'm the biggest Borgata critic but this is not where it's at, there's not a cage in the world with 100% accuracy rate

count your $$$

Borgata is by far the best room around, with the absolute best poker comps. I truly hope MGM doesnt mess with it.

Stan was good, but he actually left at the spex, before PA and MD rooms opened to impact business. Borgata has done well in the face of stiff new competition.

A 20-40 semi reg, that would not come nearly as often without my weekend room comps....hint hint

I don't get it, do you deliberately leave the casino to eat so you can feel better about spending the real cash pittance you're talking about? Or do you add it to your winrate?

I don't comprehend what is not being explained. Where do your hours have more value, and what is this value? This thread, this site are full of granular detail and all you're offering up is "mine's better."

Just remember this. TAJ thought they were king ****. They're closing the end of the month FOREVER. Nobody will go to the Marina to play poker. Shows where that philosophy is.

I loved the Borgata for years. With the expansion of gaming in PA,MD,DE why go? What's the attraction to pay tolls drive for hours, etc? This fall the vote comes up for North Jersey gaming. IF it passes, it's potentially the nail in the coffin. The attraction now is a variety of games at various stakes. Take the NY out of the market as the DC has left and it's over. But if they take care of their players, offer good games, a room ran well people will travel. The locals and regs will not keep the room going.

Borgata poker is at its lowest low ever this Summer. MGM will really need to step up and take the comps here to the next level if they want to save this room. Best room within the dying AC ecosystem is far from a brag. Look at Harrahs Philly, a short drive away and more convenient for a majority of Borgata regs. They actually have just as many cash games going right now as Borgata and this is the heart of the Summer season! Higher stakes being played there too, nothing bigger than 2/5 at the rotting beached whale that is Borgata Poker in 2016

Look at Harrah's Phila?

It's way close for me but i stopped going there 2 years ago.

Basically consists largely of daily regs passing their chips between each other for hours and hours - zzzzzz.

The volume of play level is barely keeps up with Sugar House

When Parx owners put their casino/poker in the Philly sport complex, the Harrahs room will close faster than a mousetrap.

Parx seems to get it right for poker.

Was just at Borg this past Saturday, multiple 5/10 NL, 5/10 PLO, 4 20/40 stud, 75/150 and 150/300 stud as well as a big mix all running by 3pm.

Not to mention I feel safer near Borgata (as long as I don't take the side streets through AC at night). The area around Harrah's Philly at night... I wish I had gotten a faster rental car

Are you really this obtuse? Do you genuinely not comprehend the idea that receiving actual cash in the form of rakeback is more valuable than receiving BorgBucks?

Cash can be spent anywhere; Borgata comps can only be used inside the casino. What is so difficult to understand?

I wouldn't be surprised if it did. Don't be shocked if it goes to 400+ by tonight.

....getting in the car now. I know they had 700+ before this am and it looks like about ~350 so far which would still be a little shy that's why I was trying to confirm.
