im not going to entertain this anymore if i have to POINT out why "was IT asian?" is offensive.

Check again. I think something is clouding your reading comprehension.

"was it an asian?"

Since I didn't declare the gender in my post this is one way of asking. The other would be "Was he/she an asian?" The "he/she" formulation would probably have been better but I am not sure the way it was phrased was intended to be insulting or offensive.

I continued my perhaps unfunny format of how she was calling the list in responding and perhaps the "but of course" portion was uncalled for in retrospect but I was just screwing around and wasn't thinking in those terms. I'm sorry I offended you, but no offense was intended.

I'm going to AC tomorrow till fri for my first time, i'm hearing Borgata is the best place for 2/5 but their rooms are a little too pricy for me. Any advice on where to stay that I can get to borg easily/quickly? 130 per night or less would be great I don't plan on spending much time in the room.

Gotta say--I read David's post a couple of times and don't see anything offensive about it. Think about saying something similar aloud. You're describing someone you saw from afar to a friend--"It was a young guy, red hair, he was laughing loudly."

The "it" is simply the placeholder referring to the person your referencing later. In the case of David's post, the it is referring to the Asian person later referenced. I don't think "it" was used solely because the woman was Asian or a woman, but simply because Dave was using a conversational voice in his typing.

Maybe everyone should relax.

I hope that the pic of the pink chip rack didn't cause problems, as Stan hasn't posted since. Perhaps he's off?

Stan is a valuable slave, a transgression like the pink game will bring the next shareholders' meeting to let him off lightly with only three lashes by a cat o' ninetails ...

I'm pretty sure that Stan isn't on the clock 18 hours a day, 7 days a week. If I managed a poker room, I would guess that non-holiday Mondays and Tuesdays would be good days to take off.

update stan?
Since the PC Omaha is a rake game of 5% TO $4, the comp is $1 per hour.

I don't know if you realize what it took stan and the entire borgata crew to get that game up and running. Approvals, chips dug out from the vault, 50 cent pieces at the cashier windows.... and they did this ALL IN 24 hours because you asked for it. I would love to see you try to go to another casino and say "i want another game. You should do XYZ...." see if they don't laugh at you.
Not to derail your rant here but why did they need the $.50 pieces? Change for when someone cashes out with an odd pink chip because they don't have the decency to just give it to a dealer or cocktail waitress for a goodbye tip?

I thought that all time-charged games at Borgata could be be run either BBJP-eligible or not BBJP-eligible at the election of the players. Why wouldn't this be true of the pink-chip game?

Also, would there be more consistent demand for a pink-chip game if it was an H.O. mix (and thus drew interest from players of both games, when there might not be enough interest for a full table on weekdays for one game alone)? This would be close to my ideal game if it happened.

No one votes. All 2-4 thru 10-20 LHE games are BBJP, all the time. Just as 1-2and 2-5 NL.

Well, whether or not you think it'd be decent of someone to tip their odd denominations, the casino is mandated by law to be capable of providing reimbursement for all of its chips. It's a heavily regulated industry and the Borg is always going to play by the book.

He was very nice. Just give him a "sup bro" and be prepared with your screenname.

Not only that, I want that fiddy cent.

In fact, I am holding onto a pink chip just because the guy on duty at the cashier couldn't come up with two quarters, and neither could I. When it comes to gambling, I have principles...

I know that you were just basically copying your previous poster, but...

Isn't the rake 10% up to $4?

I think I played that 3/6 game with you. I was also on the list, right before you and by the time I started to respond, they were already past all of your names. I was the nit in the 10 seat to the right of all of you

What seat were you in?

Oh..Stan is the man

I was the guy working on my post flop play by playing every hand (except the ones where you raised, those I folded -- you nit). You tried to call me down with A high but I sneakily had a pair, foiling your epic plans.
