Since we're all talking about the Marketplace, the salad place is good when it's open... The Mexican place sucks, but in the mornings they serve breakfast and their omelettes are good. Burger place is great, but will cut your life expectancy by a few years. The Chinese place is terrible and the pizza and cheesesteak place are both better than you'd expect.

I hate that everyplace down there is 2 for 1 on comps though.

Thanks I didn't know they served breakfast there but why will burgers cut your life expectancy by a few years? All I eat now is meat, fish, chicken and eggs (a carnivore diet), have never felt or been healthier in my entire life so the suggestion that fatty meat is bad for us has long been fake news. In fact, it's the standard american diet which is rich in carbs, refined sugars and grains, flour, chemicals and preservatives that's cutting everyone's life expectancy, that I can assure you 100%.

It’s funny you say that because I thought the same as well when I went this past Saturday. My friend paid for my meal at the Marketplace using his comps and he told me that it’s 1:1 now because Borgata bought it or something like that? Not sure if anyone else can verify this?

Actually I’m not entirely sure . I know he has had the Gold Card in the past so I assume Gold.

I wonder if it’s only for certain locations at the Marketplace too. I ate from the cheesesteak place.

I wouldn't be surprised if it was a mistake, the way things have been going lately. I use mine for resort fees/tax 1:1 any way

Quickly followed by them doing something bad. Effective December 1, they stopped resetting the high hand promo at 8 PM. They're back to once a day at 10AM. Sucks for us players who play mainly at night--all the quads and many of the straight flushes are gone by then, especially on the weekends--but we get the same dollar raked from the pot regardless. Apparently, they're barely getting the $5,750 drop they need per day to pay for it one time, let alone for the reset and bad beat. They're subsidizing the OMC 3/6 and 1/3 groups in the mornings with our money. At least reset it at Noon instead of 10 AM.

They're planning a high hand per 20 minute promo (varies some) for the last week of December. My guess is that they're going to rake $2 per pot to pay for it.

It used to be promos didn't run in prime times at all. Which makes sense...why give people reasons to come at times when they're already coming? It's when they start taking a second dollar all the time so they can pay out more on weekday afternoons (looking at you, Caesars) that it's a big problem.

The holiday promo is likely to drive traffic enough that the drop won't go up to cover it. I've rarely seen the room so packed as on similar days in past years.

12/27 to 1/1

11am to 11pm Mon to Fri, $250 every 20 minutes

11am to 11pm Saturday, $500 every 20 minutes; noon, 3, 6 & 9 it's $1000 every 30

Friendly bet: They drop $2 per hand during the holiday promo (but I hope I'm wrong). I say this for two reasons, mainly the first.

1. They had a similar promo prior to Covid and they dropped $2 that time.

2. With fewer players per table, and fewer players overall, they might not get enough drop at $1 per hand to cover the promo. They need $9K per day for the weekdays and $20K for Saturday ($65K). That will probably take about 30 tables running 12 hours during the promo period. Although them rolling back the current promo might have been in part to increase the reserves for the end of month promo.

Their HH promotion is the absolute worst

What is up with the floor managers being awful to all of the poker dealers? It was killing my vibe. I’m not sure how people can be such a-holes

Didn’t they just start that? So now if you hit a straight flush at 3am you don’t get paid? That sucks

You get paid IF that straight flush hasn't been hit since 10am.

Copy, so before December 1st is was getting reset twice a day? Resulting in higher payouts?
