What does everyone mostly play here - what limits? I only play 2/5 NL after moving up from 1/2 when I was younger. Just graduated college here and was wondering what HORSE stood for? Thanks

I personally love the Borgata and only play there exclusively. 2/5 can be very fun and profitable some times, and others the cards don't drop your way and you lose your first buy in or 2. happy holidays everyone

FWIW for those who wanted to play that pink HOE game - the entire starting table was a group of us (degen friends) that arranged to get together and meet up.

That was a HUGE portion of why it went, there was never more than one "local" in the game until we broke off. That being said, I'm not sure if its sustainable as a long term option (look how fast the 4/8 HOSE dropped). I'd love to see sustained low limit mixed games, as I'm not a big holdem fan, but I'm not terribly optimistic.

H-Hold'em
0-Omaha H/L (8 or better)
R-Razz (stud Low)
S-Stud
E-Stud H/L (8 or better)

The game is normally played with an eight game rotate. This means that eight hands of each game is played and then change to the next game and play eight hands, and so on and so on.

I was very surprised to see the 4/8 HOSE game resurface on both Fri. & Sat.
Who knows, maybe it can develop into a Sat.-only game like it did for 4-5 weeks in the spring ?
Anyway, I think it's a step in the right direction.

You will def. see a mix of chips in the 5/10 game. I usually just buy 4 sticks of green and color down enough to play between paying time (unless they are time potting it which is pretty standard) and the rare pot I drag

blacks are certainly welcome in the game. The regs will b1tch a lil bit if you are constantly cutting out a $275 raise with reds but other than that you won't hear any complaints.

Isn't that the one of the best parts of playing in a 5/10 game though?

Lol. Just buy in w/ greens and at MOST 1 stack of reds. There are usually enough red chips on the table that you'll be fine w/ just buying in with greens. Don't buy in with like 500+ in red.

I like cutting huge stacks of reds though it makes me feel like a baller lol.

JK JK Buying in for stacks of green is the way to go.

How about whites and reds? Then I can 4-bet my standard 483 dollars. ALWAYS gets the regs off big hands like 10-9 suited.

I personally would like to see the 4/8 or PC HOSE going weekly. We actually almost got the 4/8on Saturday switched to PCG. I would like to try to get a game going on Saturday mixed game lower limit. I enjoyed playing the 10/20 2way game but was told that game no longer runs on the weekends because the FOPs have determined they want O h/l only. These are the same folks trying to stop any pcg O h/l from starting on the weekends because it breaks their game. I prefer 2-way games. Can we start a list of interest here to get people to come on Saturday to get the game going?

I tried to get a list going over the weekend and the gal at the podium said they cannot add a list for pc multi-way games.

What is the structure for the PCG again? (e.g. Blinds, betting limits). Are the blinds $7.5 & $15? Is it limit or no limit?

Blinds are $5 - $7.50 (2 chip/3 chip)

The game is a 3/6 game....using pink ($2.50) chips.

It's Limit

You can bet and raise in increments of $7.50 pre-flop and on the flop and increments of $15 on the turn and river.

He lost a bunch of money, so no complains about having him at the table ... other than he is an angle-shooter. He frequently miscalled his hand. He almost got a new player to muck the best hand. On a board of AJ9xx, he called out "Aces". The new guy almost folded his Jack. Affter the hand, he claimed he was asking IF the other guy had aces, not calling out his hand. No one believed him. Another time the dealer called out "blinds up" and started dealing. He was slow posting his small blind, and after noticing a raise and a reraise, he claimed he was going to sit out that hand and did not want to post his blind, even though he posted his big blind the previous hand and eventually played the next hand. The first floor guy ruled he had to put up his blind, but the second floor guy said it is the dealer's responsibility to make sure the blinds are posted. Yes, correct ruling, and I don't think the dealer got into any trouble because the floor must know this guy (last 2 times I've been there I sat with him).

My question - is there anything that can be done to prevent this guy's angle-shooting, specifically about calling out his hand to try to force a muck? I never throw my hand away until I see cards that beat me, so I'm not worried about myself. I just don't think this attempt to cheat should be allowed.
Yes I know Exactly who you are talking about and for the life of me I forget his name. On Friday he was c/c'ing me down and checked the river. I checked and flipped up AK UI. He then throws out a bet and said he never checked. I know he checked and I also know the dealer know that this guy pulls this crap so I say, "you checked, I showed" and then sit back and go silent until the dealer does the right thing and says the river is checked his hand is Ace high. He mucks.
He does stuff like this all the time and no one says anything basically because he is fantastic for the table. If I am sitting next to him though I switch seats and do not get up from the table until I get to change seats.

I can see their (Borgata's) rationale.

As far as pink chip O8/stud 8/2-way/HOSE go, they do bleed into the player pool for the 10/20 2-way game. Which should probably be spread just as 10/20 half-kill O8, which leads me to...

...keeping pink chip LHE thriving, a 4/8 HOSE game getting spread every Sat./busy times, and spreading a 10/20 O8 game seems to make sense.

I also noticed a 5/10 O8 game in one of the live game reports from the weekend. IMHO, it's a good idea to develop a 'feeder' game that won't directly interfere with the 10/20 O8.

I Feel that whites should not be in play for 2-5 either, except to post the small blinds, I had this one idiot last week who kept on betting $31, $36, $17 etc, it made no sense and was annoying everyone on the table

hey Stan, what stakes did the BBJ hit at yesterday and what was the hand if available, thanks

there's your answer as to the reason why he was doing it. And it obviously worked.
