AC Poker Guide keeps a good list of the tourneys in town.

Harrah's at midnight and Taj at quarter past are about it for late-nights.

Anyone know how common this is? I am planning a trip to B soon to play 10/20 and will be sort of bummed out if the 5k cap game I *think* I am going to play in has 4 or 5 15k stacks.

I mean the 10/20 game still runs all the time on a weekend amirit?

Thanks for posting these updates! If you do it often enough, I can throw it into a graph so we can see how the game frequency trends by day of the week or time of day.

$4k isn't bad, as long as you had fun losing it.

I'm assuming it's pretty much a regulars game on the weekdays.

It's pretty much a regulars game on the weekends.

I've actually been wondering how many unique players played the Borgata 40/80 last year. I'd put the over/under at 300.

Add at least one (this guy's) name to this years list starting this friday. To all the Borg regs: you're welcome for the ~8 racks i'm going to drop in the game over about 10 days.

that'll make the over/under for Mexicans exactly 1 ;0)

I'll only be there one day next week, the other I'm going to the Phils game (center section row 19 woot!)

TAB, I and 4 of my buddies were up there playing Friday through Sunday and had a great time. We've been up several times before but I was pleased to see the room was so busy despite the economy.

I have three questions about Borgata room policy (cash games). None were huge issues but just somewhat unexpected things my friends noticed.
  1. In NLHE, under what conditions can an AI re-raise be raised by the previous raiser? In other words, player A bets $20. Player B goes AI for $25 total ($5 more, less than half the original raise). Player C calls $30. Can player A re-raise?
  2. Again in NLHE, when a player who already has chips on the table places more cash (a hundred) on the table what's the dealer's responsibility if any? Is the dealer supposed to offer to provide chips or just let the cash sit on the table even though it doesn't play?
  3. Is there any official policy on where the extra chips go on a chopped pot? This is most applicable in LHE and where I saw it most. Obviously it doesn't really matter but every dealer I saw do it went with a different rule. "Left of the dealer", "Highest hole card", "Highest suit", etc. I found that amusing.

1. A short raise doesn't re-open the action. For the action to be re-opened the raise must be at least 1/2 more than the bet/raise amount. Example: Player A bets $60, player B goes all-in for $90 and player C calls the $90. Since the raise was $30 (50% more than the original bet), when the action gets back to player A he/she has the option to put in another raise. If player B instead had raised all-in for $89 then the action would not be re-opened and player A could only call the $29 more or fold.

2. A good dealer should be on top of this. If they see the money on the table then the dealer should inform the player that cash doesn't play and inquire if the player would like to buy chips. If the player declines then the cash doesn't play if that is the house rule.

3. "Highest hole card" or "highest suit" is ******ed because both players are playing the exact same hand. The extra money should be awarded to the player in the worst position, ie. the person closest to the left of the dealer button.

He was asking what the rule is not what you think it should be. I'm not 100% on what the exact rule is but I believe the player with the highest hole card gets the extra chip. Suits are ranked as in stud

Also the half bet rule is a limit rule. Many places do apply it to NL as well (historically this wasn't the case). I have no idea what Borgata does since I don't play NL.

Not to be an ass, but p566 was asking about the rules at Borgata. As it seems you don't actually play there you shouldn't be giving authoritative responses on the subject.
