Roughly 75% of normal daily volume.

Couple requests, so that everyone around you is as comfortable as you are:

1) Please wash your hands in the bathroom.
2) If you have a cold, flu, chronic cough or anything else that makes people uncomfortable - stay at home.
3) Oh yeah, if you gonna show up wearing a surgical mask at the poker table, there were a few clowns like that here last couple of days - stay at home as well.

In general, I would say playing poker in AC is safer than taking NYC subway or flying (but not as safe as staying at home obvi)

planes are much safer than people realize with respect to complaints about recycled air getting people sick. air is much cleaner in airplanes that in basically any other confined space because of the filtration systems used. most of the complaints should be directed at the dryness of the air, which is on par or drier than desert air. when sinus and nasal passages are dry, it's easier to catch something.

you're probably worse off being at a casino poker table, touching the same cards/chips that everyone else is touching at your table, especially considering poker players are generally not very savvy wrt spreading germs. just go to a room that allows eating at the table and watch how many people eat with their hands touching their food at the table while playing.

re playing with a mask - was at the Venetian last weekend and they threw a guy out because he refused to take off his mask. everyone was kind of surprised.

Vinny pahuja was wearing a surgical mask today in the 6max at harrahs. Do people realize how foolish they look wearing these masks? Just wash your hands g.

My guess is 15% of those
That go into a men's room in
The Borgata poker room
wash their hands,
Especially, at peak times,
I think it's worse on the bathrooms
Off the casino floor,
I assume women do a better
Job...

i've heard people in the bathroom taking dumps that sound like they're at war with the toilet, come out not wash their hands and then you see them at the poker table a few minutes later eating a sandwich.

Will be interesting to see if the 10-20 limit games (HE and O8) go this weekend. The age group for the regulars tend to skew older, and thus more at risk. The 10-20 HE game usually goes on thursday, but not today.

Just an idea for the mngt to consider, Could you put a men's room attendant at the sinks to remind the users of washing your hands, perhaps putting out a pump of Purcell, anybody remember the men's room attendant at the Atlantic City Night club near California and Atlantic ave Hand washes and colognes .

Just have someone loudly ridicule anyone who doesnt wash his hands. We can all get behind that.

Shouldn’t need a global epidemic for people to wash their hands after they literally stick their hand up their ass

Yet, I see people do this every day in public bathrooms, just walk out without washing their hands. So disgusting! I yelled at a guy once to no avail. He told me to mind my own business! What a classy fella!

The state isn't (yet) considering closing the casinos.

Quote:
Borgata has temporarily closed Premier Nightclub, Gypsy Bar, the Music Box and Moneyline Bar & Book.

“Borgata will adhere to the guidelines of local, state and national authorities, and is proactively communicating with our employees on the guidance from the CDC regarding prevention,” the casino said in a statement Friday. “We have enhanced our cleaning protocols that include placing additional hand sanitizer dispensing stations in high-traffic areas, reinforcing proactive cleaning and increasing the frequency of disinfection procedures.”

Borgata has cancelled all tournaments, is limiting the maximum tables to 22, and all tables are now 9 max instead of 10 for the foreseeable future
