14 is more than 12, last time I checked lol

To clarify: frequency of playing at Borgata. I averaged one weekend per month in the last 3 years.

Anybody know what time frame they generally update the tournament results in? Wondering why the last few results of the Monster Stacks haven't been updated yet.

This is the first time in years that I haven't gotten the buffets, they started showing up from the 1st time I logged into a cash game for a few hours-I mostly play tournaments, maybe one every few months

I've played enough to get Platinum form poker play only. I did not receive a buffet offer, not even once.

I probably average about the same, sometimes more, sometimes less.

Weird. Do you ever play anything but poker? Even throwing a few bucks on VP every now and then?

That's crazy, wow. I've consistently had them for the past 3-4 years, every month. I'm just Gold, and I didn't even earn it.

Literally never anything but poker?

yeah I'm pretty sure you need to give them pit action to get free buffets, don't ever remember getting one

I degened about $450 in the last 4-5 years, mostly craps. I used to get one monthly $25 match play but that dried up after the first year. I’m actually quite surprised they are still being so generous with rooms given that I only play poker.

Yeah, must be the case that you need to play something other than poker to get them. I've had them for a long time, now that I think of it, my wife and I have been together 7 years and our first year together we went to the Borgata for the weekend and used my buffet comp. I really did not play much else than poker between then and last year, so it's funny I've been getting it so long for almost no serious pit or machine play to speak of.

I go down for 10–12 hours, mostly twice a month, poker only. I've had weekend rooms year-round for a few years, but never a buffet comp. I play a little VP, but never on my card. Never remember to put it in, and if I do then I don't remember to take it back. Five minutes here and there can't interest them, anyway.

IIRC you get the free buffet from playing 5 tournaments in a month.

that is also true but a separate thing.

very soon after the first time I played cash poker a few years ago I started getting, listed in "my offers" every month:

-$59 rate for most nights (weekday)
2x month free parking
comp buffet for me and a guest each month

for years before I only played poker tournaments, craps, and a little slots/vp, so I figured it was a poker player bonus

I'll be there this weekend and plan to play some cash, so we'll see what happens

wife is Gold so we can get the buffet or Amphora for $12.50 comp $, so its not a big deal, but full comp was better

In the course of 2 years, I played VP a handful of times to clear $150 poker high hand GC and I played electronic roulette one time betting $5 increments. (this was to rack up tier points easier to reach Platinum)

Basically, I play 99.9% poker. I have never seen a buffet comp. I have never received any of these random free physical gifts some people get. In my 2 years of play, the only thing I ever got is comped rooms any day and free parking which everyone above Pearl gets.

That's it. I don't think I ever got anything else. (I might have gotten those free comedy show tickets but don't remember.)

I'm also Gold, and I actually prefer the buffet to Amphora. Amphora is nice to have, though.

So I'm pretty sure from reading the FAQ on the first page and from logging in to my Borgata account online, for the first time in quite a while, that they use M Life cards there now. But when I registered online for one of the upcoming BSPO events in April, the email receipt says to make sure that I have a My Borgata Rewards card to pay for the tourney on arrival. The My Borgata Rewards card is also mentioned throughout the Borgata Poker Room web pages. You would think that a simple Find/Replace would have been done on those pages a long time ago. Should I bring both cards or can I trash my old My Borgata Rewards card?

Somebody just hasn't updated their email/web templates. The MBR card won't do anything for you now.

It’s all MLife. Don’t worry about using the old cards

Questions about tournaments...

I never play tournaments since I'm afraid if I do I won't be able to play enough hours of cash to maintain my room offers. Are you given express comps for tournaments and does that factor into your daily averages? How many comp dollars would you get, for example, on a $300+$40 tourney?

No comps for tournaments.

The real question is whether registering for a tournament is like swiping in at a table...does the poker hours system know you're there or not. And that I don't know.

Can anyone verify, one way or another, if using comp for food when not swiping will trigger a "gaming day"? Was planning to go to Amphora tomorrow but won't be playing on my card at all tomorrow and don't want it to mess things up for me.
