If you never use the slot play then absolutely never take greyhound again. Don’t know why you wouldn’t tho, only takes a couple min to play through and you will get back 23$ out of 25$ in the long run playing on a decent jacks or better machine . Plus it’s fun for a degen sweat. Might hit a royal lol.

I have the Gold card.

Are there any tangible benefits for Gold outside of AC for a poker player?

When I went to Vegas, I took advantage of free parking and that was great. Is there anything else?

Side question: are there any other casinos that will match Gold status and is it worth doing?

Is the surface parking area closer to the hotel check-in desks? Will be checking in with kids & their bags, so looking to get to the check-in desks quickly and head up to the room. Hopefully in time to register for the evening event!

Also does the parking include in/out privileges?

Thanks.

Haven't been to the Borgata since 2012 and I was pretty disappointed. Instead of using the poker room which was mostly empty they use some corner which was cramped and horrible. My table kept sliding all over the place. The structure of the OE tourney sucked and the dealers were a nightmare.

See Ya AC, it was nice knowing you.

You want the garage unless you're staying in the Water Club (which, with kids, you're probably not). From surface parking you have to cross the entire casino to get to the Borgata tower and main check-in desk.

You can get a receipt when you pay and leave and that lets you park somewhere else the same day free. (I'm not sure if it would let you come back in and leave again free the same day.)

The valet is much closer. It is about a 10 second walk to the front desk. Also, they will offer to take all of your luggage to the bell desk for holding until you are ready to go to your room.

Ok this needs to be updated. I had pretty awful rates being offered but hadnt been in several years, so I paid $200+/night during weekdays and played maybe 10 hrs of 2/5 plus a decent amount of table games during xmas under the false premise id get comped or reduced rates next trip. No dice.

Second trip I stayed at Harrahs because the Borgata rates were so obscene for the weekends ($339/449 ignoring fees for the weekend). i logged ~18 hrs split 50/50 between 2/5 and 5/T and another 3-4 hrs at table games, and my rates didnt budge after the tuesday update. I dont have a single saturday under $400.

These prices are so obcene I cant justify coming. I expected to pay an upfront cost to get offers and ended up paying a big chunk of cash and making zero progress.

It should say “theres no poker rate for hotel rooms”, and thats where that sentence should end.

I played 9 hours of 2/5 this weekend. 1st time there in over a year. Rates went from huge to comped sun-thurs. I have screenshots at home that I'll post later

Were you looking at the rates that were 2 1/2 to 3 months in the future, or 1 to 2 weeks into the future? The rates that are farther into the future are much better than the rates that are in the very near future.

Didn't notice that. He seems to stick to Twitter now. I've updated the FAQ to reflect his absence and also alerted Bobo in case he wants to remove his undertitle.

How many poker hours did you log each day, including days you may have been there but didn't play? Your post implies the play was spread across multiple days for each trip. The poker play threshold seems to be certain # of hours in a specific day, not total hours over a multi-day trip.

I've posted on this numerous times itt with screenshots of my offers before/after.

The general rule of thumb itt used to be $15 comp dollars/day before the switch. A day is from 6am-6am

If you play 1/2, that's 10 hours
If you play 2/5 or 5/10, that's 7.5 hours

It doesn't matter if the hours are all in a row or broken up or different stakes.

No idea how put games play into it.

I know, that's why I asked how much he played each day. He said 10 hours of 2/5 but it sounded like he was there multiple days. If he were there 3 days, it matters if it was broken up 10-0-0 or 4-4-2 over the 3 days for the reasons you outlined.

Yes, daily average is the key for room rates. Total hours won't do it.

Average over 15 Express Comps per day and you should start seeing free Saturdays. (At poker. No idea how table-game play affects it or not.)

I caution the community to always consider the source of information. Specifically, take a look at a poster's posting history to get a sense of whether he/she might offer only extreme negative feedback.

Since I've seen this asked many times (I think), if someone wants to compile a list of 1:1 and 2:1 food places I'll add it to the FAQ.

Everything on the main floor except Starbucks. Nothing downstairs.
